UPTET is an eligibility test, not a direct appointment test. Clearing it does not guarantee a teaching job. Candidates must wait for teacher recruitment notifications and meet the education, training and age requirements listed in each notice. They may also need to take another recruitment exam, such as Super TET, if the recruitment rules require it.
