BITSAT 2026 Iteration 7 Result, Seat Allotment and Admission Steps

BITS Pilani has released the BITSAT 2026 Iteration 7 seat allotment result on August 19, 2026. This round is for vacant seats left after the earlier counselling rounds. Candidates who took part in the counselling process can log in to the BITS admission portal to check their campus, programme and admission status.

The result shows whether you have received a seat offer, remained on the waiting list or need to check for another update. Keep your application number and password ready. The portal may become busy when results go live, so do not panic if the page takes time to load. Even websites need a tea break once in a while.

BITSAT 2026 Iteration 7 Important Dates

EventDate
Iteration 7 resultAugust 19, 2026
Fee payment deadlineAugust 21, 2026
Campus reporting deadlineAugust 22, 2026

These dates apply to candidates who receive a seat offer in Iteration 7. Check the dates shown on your login dashboard as well. If the portal gives a different instruction, follow the latest official notice.

What to Do After Seat Allotment

A seat offer does not complete the admission process. Candidates must finish the required formalities within the deadline.

  • Review the offer: Confirm the allotted campus and programme.
  • Accept the seat: Use the option shown on the admission portal.
  • Pay the admission fee: Complete the payment by August 21, 2026.
  • Upload or submit documents: Follow the file format and document rules given by BITS Pilani.
  • Report to campus: Visit the allotted campus by August 22, 2026, with the required original documents.

Take screenshots of the payment receipt and save the transaction number. A payment page that says “processing” is not the same as a confirmed payment. Check your portal status before closing the browser.

Documents Required for BITSAT Admission Reporting

The exact list can vary by candidate and programme. Keep these documents ready in original form and as clear scanned copies:

  • Class 10 certificate and marksheet
  • Class 12 certificate and marksheet
  • BITSAT 2026 score details
  • Admission or counselling letter
  • Photo identity proof
  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • Proof of counselling fee payment
  • Category or disability certificate, where applicable
  • Residence or other documents listed in the official notice

PwD candidates should carry a valid disability certificate along with their academic and identity documents. Check the portal for any extra document requirement before travelling.

How BITSAT Seat Allotment Works

BITS Pilani allots seats through iterations. The process considers your BITSAT score, merit position, programme preferences, campus preferences and the number of seats available. Iteration 7 is being held for vacant seats after the earlier rounds.

Meeting a past cutoff does not guarantee admission. Cutoffs can change each year based on the number of applicants, exam scores, programme demand and available seats. Computer Science and Electronics courses often have higher score ranges, while some other engineering programmes may close at lower scores.

BITS Pilani does not publish a separate round-wise cutoff in the same way as some other admission systems. The final branch-wise cutoff is expected after the counselling process ends. Candidates should use past cutoff data as a guide, not as a promise.

What Happens If You Miss the Deadline?

If you do not pay the required fee by August 21, your seat offer may be cancelled under the admission rules. Missing the campus reporting date on August 22 can also lead to loss of the allotted seat.

Candidates who want to withdraw should submit the request through the official admission portal and read the refund policy before applying. Refunds depend on the rules and the stage of withdrawal. Keep copies of all requests, receipts and portal messages.

Quick Checklist for Iteration 7 Candidates

  • Log in and download the allotment letter.
  • Check the campus and programme details.
  • Read the fee and reporting instructions.
  • Pay the admission fee by August 21.
  • Prepare original documents and scanned copies.
  • Report to the allotted campus by August 22.
  • Check the official portal for fresh notices.
