SSC GD Result 2026: How to Check Merit List, Scorecard and Cut Off

The SSC GD Constable Result 2026 is expected soon on the official Staff Selection Commission website, ssc.gov.in. The commission has not confirmed the result date yet. As per current reports, the result may be released by August 25, 2026, but candidates should wait for the official notice.

The result will show the roll numbers of candidates who qualify for the next stage. The SSC GD cut off will also be issued with the result. The scorecard, which shows individual marks, is expected to be available a few days after the result notice.

SSC GD Result 2026: What to Expect

SSC is likely to publish the result in PDF format. Separate result links may be available for male and female candidates. The PDF can include the roll number, name, category, state or area, and qualifying status of shortlisted candidates.

The commission may also release category-wise, state-wise and force-wise cut off marks. These marks help candidates understand whether they have cleared the required level for the next stage. A roll number missing from the result PDF means the candidate has not been shortlisted for that stage.

How to Check SSC GD Result 2026

  1. Visit the official website, ssc.gov.in.
  2. Click the Result tab on the home page.
  3. Select the CTGD exam section.
  4. Open the SSC GD result write-up and result PDF.
  5. Download the result file for your gender and category, if separate links are provided.
  6. Use the search option in the PDF to find your roll number.
  7. Save the PDF and take a printout for future use.

Keep your registration number, password and date of birth ready. The result PDF may not need login details, but the scorecard usually requires the registration number and password. Your registration number is the same one used during the application process.

SSC GD Scorecard 2026

The SSC GD scorecard is expected to be released a few days after the result. It will be available through the Result or Marks section on the SSC website. The scorecard can show the candidate’s marks, category, normalized score and other exam details.

To download it, log in with the registration number and password created during the application. Download the file and keep it safe. The final marks may be issued after the medical examination, based on the recruitment rules.

SSC GD Cut Off 2026

The cut off is the minimum score needed for shortlisting. SSC may release separate cut offs for categories, states, areas, forces, and male and female candidates. The cut off can change each year because the number of vacancies and candidates is not the same.

These factors can affect the SSC GD cut off:

  • Number of vacancies
  • Difficulty level of the computer-based test
  • Number of candidates who appeared
  • Candidate category
  • State and area
  • Overall performance in the exam
  • Force preference and vacancy position

The minimum qualifying marks for the computer-based exam are usually 30% for General candidates, 25% for OBC and EWS candidates, and 20% for SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates. These are only qualifying marks. Clearing them does not guarantee selection.

SSC GD Selection Stages After the Result

Candidates who qualify in the computer-based test must take part in the next stages of recruitment. The selection process includes:

  • Computer-Based Test: This is an objective exam with 80 questions for 160 marks. Each correct answer carries two marks, while an incorrect answer may lead to a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
  • Physical Efficiency Test: This checks physical fitness, stamina and running ability.
  • Physical Standard Test: This checks height and other required physical standards.
  • Detailed Medical Examination: Candidates must meet the medical standards set for the post.
  • Document Verification: The commission checks original certificates and identity documents.

PET and PST are qualifying stages. Final allocation depends on merit, candidate preferences, category, state or area, and available vacancies. Medical examination and document verification are also required for final selection.

Documents Needed for SSC GD Document Verification

Candidates should keep original documents and photocopies ready. Common documents include the Class 10 certificate, SSC GD admit card, photo identity proof, caste certificate, domicile certificate, NCC certificate, passport-size photographs and certificates needed for age or category relaxation.

SC and ST candidates may receive five years of age relaxation, while OBC candidates may receive three years. Ex-Servicemen candidates may receive relaxation under the rules stated in the recruitment notice. Check each certificate before the verification date. A missing or incorrect document can lead to cancellation of candidature.

What to Do If the SSC Website Does Not Open

The website may slow down when many candidates check the result at the same time. Try again after a short gap, use a stable internet connection and avoid unverified result links. Check the notice board on ssc.gov.in and download files only from the official portal. Keep a screenshot or PDF copy of your result after downloading it.
