CTET and state TET are separate routes

CTET is conducted by CBSE. State authorities conduct their own eligibility tests and can prescribe different language, qualification and recruitment conditions. A CTET course is not automatically a complete course for every state TET or teacher recruitment examination.

Paper I relates to teaching Classes I–V, while Paper II relates to Classes VI–VIII in the CTET scheme. Verify eligibility for each paper before purchasing a combined course. Do not assume that a BEd qualification alone makes every candidate eligible for primary-level teaching.

What the official reference shows

The published CTET September 2026 bulletin provides a useful previous-cycle reference: each paper has 150 questions for 150 marks and lasts two and a half hours, with no negative marking. Paper I includes Child Development and Pedagogy, two languages, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. Paper II includes Child Development and Pedagogy, two languages and the selected subject block.

For that cycle, General and OBC-NCL applicants paid ₹1,000 for one paper or ₹1,200 for both. SC, ST and differently abled applicants paid ₹500 or ₹600. These are 2026 fees, not a confirmed 2027 fee table; applicable bank or GST charges should be checked in the CTET bulletin and final payment screen. Study pedagogy with the subject

Pedagogy questions often ask why a teaching response suits a learner or classroom situation. Read the question carefully, identify the learning difficulty and evaluate each option. Memorising slogans without applying them to an example produces fragile understanding.

For Mathematics, practise explaining a method as well as solving the calculation. For Environmental Studies and Science, connect concepts with observations and classroom activities. In language pedagogy, distinguish reading, comprehension, assessment and language-acquisition approaches.

Published coaching and mock options

Adda247 currently lists its CTET and TET Mahapack at ₹1,649.78. Confirm the selected paper, language and actual access term; a promotional validity multiplier is not an exact expiry date.

Physics Wallah's inspected CTET Premium Infinity Paper I page showed a ₹1,299 reference price and a current displayed offer of ₹1,169, with access through September 2027. It is a provider-labelled 2026 course with later access, not evidence of an official December 2026 or 2027 CTET date; confirm tax and final checkout.

Testbook publishes a yearly mock Pass, separately from full live coaching. Utkarsh also publishes CTET course and test pages; this review did not establish a current paid CTET 2027 quote for those products.

1. Does clearing a TET mean that a school must appoint me?

No. Eligibility-test qualification and appointment are separate. The recruiting authority’s vacancy, qualification and selection rules still apply.
