Patwari Exam 2027 Complete Guide: Latest Updates, Eligibility, Salary, Coaching Institutes & Test Series
Plan state-specific Patwari eligibility, Rajasthan paper and pay basics, with Utkarsh Classes, Kalam Academy, Lakshya Classes Udaipur and Testbook preparation options.

Hello aspirants! I am Runal Naik. Preparing for the Patwari exam in 2027 starts with choosing your state, checking your qualification and building a routine for state GK, reasoning, arithmetic, language and computer questions.
There is no single national Patwari examination. Recruitment is state-specific. Rajasthan's 2027 Patwar notification is awaited; this guide uses its latest published 2025 notice as a preparation baseline. Another state's eligibility, syllabus and salary may differ.
Which notification should you follow?
For Rajasthan, use the RSSB advertisement catalogue, select Patwar and read the detailed notice with its amendments. The detailed Patwar notice explains qualifications, pay and syllabus; the amended notice must be read alongside it.
Match the state, post and recruitment year before following an application link.
Use the applicable notice's age cutoff, qualification deadline and reservation rules.
Download admit cards and results through the board's own links. A coaching batch announcement does not establish an official examination date.
Eligibility: a degree alone may not be enough
Rajasthan's published baseline requires a recognised graduation degree or equivalent, an accepted computer qualification, working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari and knowledge of Rajasthan's culture.
Its accepted computer routes include:
NIELIT/DOEACC O Level or higher.
COPA/DPCS certification under the recognised vocational-training scheme.
A recognised Computer Science/Computer Applications degree or diploma.
A recognised three-year polytechnic diploma in Computer Science and Engineering, or an engineering/technology degree.
RS-CIT, Computer Science/Computer Applications as a senior-secondary subject, or another qualification recognised as equivalent or higher.
These are alternative routes. Keep the certificate proving your actual qualification; do not assume every private computer course is accepted.
The notice's basic age provision is at least 18 and below 40 on its prescribed reference date. Category relaxations and that recruitment's additional relaxation are separate conditions. Calculate your eligibility using the new cycle's cutoff rather than adding an old relaxation automatically.
CET matters: the referenced Rajasthan recruitment required qualification in the specified Graduation-level CET. CET is an eligibility gateway; it does not replace the separate Patwar recruitment examination. Do not substitute a senior-secondary CET course for graduation-level preparation.
Rajasthan Patwar paper: where your study time goes
The published scheme has one objective paper: 150 questions, 300 marks and three hours. This compact table shows the subject split.
Subject | Questions / marks |
|---|---|
General science; Indian history, polity and geography; GK and current affairs | 38 / 76 |
Rajasthan Geography, History, Culture and Polity | 30 / 60 |
General English and Hindi | 22 / 44 |
Mental Ability, Reasoning and Basic Numerical Efficiency | 45 / 90 |
Basic Computer | 15 / 30 |
Total | 150 / 300 |
Negative marking applies. Practise with the applicable paper's marking and OMR instructions, including how to record an unattempted question. Avoid copying another exam's penalty or answer-sheet rules.
Reasoning and arithmetic: build accurate methods, then timed mixed practice; this is the largest combined section.
Rajasthan GK: cover physical regions, history, culture, administration and current developments.
Language: practise grammar and usage in both Hindi and English.
Computers: revise hardware, memory, software, operating systems and common office applications against the official syllabus.
Salary: separate basic pay from take-home pay
The Rajasthan notice places Patwari in Pay Matrix Level L-5. The Rajasthan Revised Pay Rules show ₹20,800 as L-5's first basic-pay cell.
Pay component | What it means |
|---|---|
Regular basic pay | L-5 first cell: ₹20,800 |
Probation | The notice specifies two years and fixed remuneration under government orders. |
Take-home pay | Depends on the applicable allowances, deductions and appointment stage. |
₹20,800 is a basic-pay reference, not a guaranteed in-hand or probation salary. Compare the actual appointment terms when assessing the job.
Online coaching and practice options
Coaching is optional. AcademyCheck can help you compare preparation support. The following course features are provider-reported; choose between structured teaching and additional practice based on your weak areas.
Utkarsh Classes
Course: Rajasthan Patwar Batch (From Studio), code 21422, lists Hindi-medium live/recorded teaching, 750+ hours and 365-day access.
Practice: its course description includes previous papers and regular class tests. Access validity is separate from its six-to-seven-month teaching duration.
Pradeep Kumar Mishra - 8+ years - Computer.
Nayana Avasthi - 5+ years - Science. These experience figures come from the provider's course page.
Useful for: students seeking a subject-by-subject Hindi foundation with recorded revision.

Kalam Academy
Course: the current app catalogue lists PATWAR Sikar and Jaipur batch recordings, video lectures and downloadable handwritten notes, each displayed at ₹8,260.
Separate gateway option: CET 2026 Graduation Level is listed separately. Buying CET preparation does not automatically include the Patwar course.
Useful for: students wanting classroom recordings and notes to follow a set learning sequence. Confirm the selected recording's syllabus updates and access end date.
Explore the available coaching details on AcademyCheck: Kalam Academy. For classroom study, match the actual Jaipur or Sikar batch rather than treating both locations as one timetable.
Lakshya Classes Udaipur
Course: its Patwar Online Course लक्ष्य बैच 26 listing describes classroom-linked live teaching, recorded revision, downloadable e-notes, topic tests and exam-pattern tests.
Access: the description states one year from purchase, with adjustable video speed and an audio option.
Useful for: students who need recorded or audio revision around other commitments. Ask which classes are currently live and which are older recordings before selecting the batch.
Testbook
Practice product: Rajasthan Patwari Mock Test Series 2025 is currently listed with 465 items, including 16 full tests and 14 previous papers. It retains its actual product-year label.
Free samples: Rajasthan Art and Culture and Rajasthan Geography are short 10-question, 20-mark, 10-minute tests. They are not full-paper simulations.
Useful for: additional topic practice and timed tests after learning the concepts. Compare the selected full tests with the current official scheme.
Choose a test series that improves your next attempt
Compare a full-paper mock with the official subject split and time limit.
Check whether solutions explain the method and wrong options.
Separate full mocks from chapter quizzes, previous papers and repeated saved questions.
Review wrong answers, guesses and unanswered questions after each attempt.
Revise the weakest topic before taking another mock. Check access validity and whether your course already includes these tests.
A practical weekly routine
Daily: one reasoning/arithmetic session, one state-GK topic and a short language or computer revision.
Twice a week: mixed timed practice followed by error analysis.
Weekly: one full paper, syllabus-gap review and revision of questions answered through guessing.
Keep one main set of notes. Add a correction or worked example when you discover a weakness instead of collecting another full course.

If you are comparing career routes alongside state revenue recruitment, the SSC CPO guide explains a graduate police route with physical tests. The IBPS PO guide explains the separate banking route, including Mains and interview preparation. Compare the job and selection stages before dividing your study time; neither is a source for Patwari rules.
Frequently asked questions
Can a final-year student apply?
The referenced Rajasthan notice allows final-year candidates subject to acquiring the required qualification before its examination date. Check the new notice's condition before applying.
Does RS-CIT replace graduation?
No. In the Rajasthan baseline, graduation and an accepted computer qualification are separate requirements.
Should I buy both a foundation course and a test subscription?
Check what your foundation already includes. Buy extra tests only if they add suitable full papers, solutions or analysis you will use.
Can I use Rajasthan notes for another state's exam?
Common subjects may overlap. Replace the state-specific portion and follow that state's recruitment syllabus.
How should I compare two similar mock scores?
Look at accuracy, guesses, time spent and repeated topic errors. A higher score on an easier paper may not show better preparation.
Summary and your next step
