NMAT Registration 2026: Fees, Eligibility, Form Steps and Slot Booking

NMAT 2026 registration is now open on the official GMAC website. Candidates who plan to take the exam can complete the online form, pay the fee and book an exam slot through mba.com/nmat. The registration window will remain open until October 10, 2026.

The NMAT exam will be held from November 2 to December 17, 2026. Since candidates can choose their test date and time, early registration can give them more choice. Exam slots, much like good movie seats, may not stay available forever.

Who Can Apply for NMAT 2026?

Before starting the form, candidates should check the basic eligibility rules:

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institute.
  • Most participating institutes ask for at least 50 per cent aggregate marks in graduation.
  • Students in the final year of graduation can apply on a provisional basis.
  • Candidates should have completed a 10+2+3 or four-year graduation course.

These are the common NMAT eligibility rules. Each business school may set extra conditions for its MBA or PGDM programme. Candidates should check the admission rules of every school they plan to apply to.

Documents and Details Needed for the Form

Keeping the required information ready can make the application process easier. Candidates may need:

  • Valid mobile number and email address
  • Full name, date of birth, gender, category and nationality
  • Parent or guardian details
  • Address and identity proof details
  • Graduation information, including university, college, course, stream and year of passing
  • Marks, grading scheme and graduation status
  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Digital signature in the format accepted on the portal

The photograph and signature should be clear. Upload files in JPG, JPEG or PNG format and follow the size limits shown on the official website.

NMAT Retake and Rescheduling Rules

GMAC allows up to three attempts in one testing cycle. This includes the first attempt and two retakes. Candidates must keep a gap of at least seven days between the scorecard issue date and the next exam date. A retake can be scheduled through the candidate dashboard after the first attempt is scored.

Read the rescheduling rules before changing your slot. Fees and available dates may depend on the schedule shown in your account.

NMAT Exam Sections

The NMAT question paper has three sections:

  • Language Skills
  • Quantitative Skills
  • Logical Reasoning

A focused study plan of two to three months may suit many candidates. Those who need more time should start earlier. Use mock tests, review wrong answers and track time in each section. Even one extra correct answer can matter when scores are close.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Waiting until the last day to register or book a slot
  • Entering a name or date of birth that does not match identity documents
  • Uploading a blurred photograph or signature
  • Forgetting to select the right business schools
  • Closing the payment page before confirmation appears
  • Failing to save the application number and receipt

Check the official NMAT portal for the latest fee details, document rules and application updates before submitting the form.
