AC Team

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is scheduled to release the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result on August 19, 2026. Candidates who took part in the choice-filling process can check their allotted college and course through the official MCC website and candidate dashboard.
The choice-locking window closed on August 18 at 11:59 PM. After the result is released, candidates who receive a seat must report to the allotted college from August 20 to August 25. They must complete admission steps, submit original documents and pay the required tuition fees within this period.
How to check the MCC NEET UG Round 1 result
Candidates should use the official MCC UG Medical Counselling portal to check the result. Keep your NEET details ready before you begin. A slow internet connection and a missing password are a poor team, so check both in advance.
- Visit the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.
- Open the UG Medical Counselling section.
- Click the link for the NEET UG 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result.
- Open the provisional or final allotment result PDF, as available.
- Use your NEET UG roll number to search the PDF.
- Check the allotted college, course and category.
- Log in to the candidate dashboard and download the official Seat Allotment Letter.
Save a copy of the allotment letter on your phone and print it for college reporting. Candidates should also check the college website for reporting instructions, fee details and any extra forms.
Round 1 reporting dates and admission steps
Physical reporting for Round 1 is scheduled from August 20 to August 25, 2026. Candidates who want to keep the allotted seat must visit the college during this period.
At the college, candidates need to:
- Complete the admission and verification process.
- Submit the required original documents for checking.
- Pay the tuition and other approved fees.
- Complete any medical examination or college forms.
- Give written willingness for upgradation if they want to take part in Round 2.
Do not wait until the last day unless you enjoy standing in long queues with a file full of papers. Colleges may set their own reporting hours, so confirm the timing before travelling.
Documents required at the allotted college
Candidates should carry original documents along with several photocopies. The usual document list includes:
- NEET UG 2026 admit card
- NEET UG 2026 scorecard or result
- MCC Round 1 Seat Allotment Letter
- Class 10 certificate and marksheet
- Class 12 certificate and marksheet
- Valid photo ID, such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card or Passport
- Recent passport-sized photographs
- Category Certificate, where applicable
- PwBD Certificate, where applicable
- Other documents listed by the allotted college
The name, date of birth and other details should match across your documents. If a certificate needs an updated format, contact the issuing authority before reporting.
MCC NEET UG Round 2 upgrade process
Candidates who receive a Round 1 seat but prefer another college can seek an upgrade in Round 2. The Round 2 registration process is scheduled to begin on August 24, 2026. Choice filling is expected to remain open until September 2, 2026.
To take part in the upgrade process, candidates must first report to the Round 1 college, complete the admission process, submit original documents and pay the required fees. They must also provide their willingness for upgradation as instructed by the college.
When filling Round 2 choices, add only colleges and courses that you prefer over your Round 1 seat. Choices placed above the current allotment can help show your preference. Candidates should read the MCC choice-filling rules before locking their choices.
If a Round 2 upgrade is granted, the candidate must follow the new reporting instructions. If no upgrade is given, the Round 1 seat may continue as per MCC rules and the candidate must follow the applicable college instructions.
Free exit option for candidates who do not want the seat
Candidates who do not want to join their Round 1 college can use the free-exit option by not reporting within the given reporting dates. As stated in the counselling rules, there is no financial penalty or loss of eligibility for Round 2 under this option, and the security deposit remains safe.
Candidates who choose not to report or upload documents do not need to complete a separate free-exit form. Still, they should read the current MCC notice before taking action, since counselling rules and dates can change.
Important checks before reporting
- Check the result only on the official MCC website.
- Download and print the Seat Allotment Letter.

- Carry originals, photocopies and extra photographs.
- Keep proof of fee payment and document submission.
