NEET PG 2026 City Slip Date, Download Steps and Centre Reforms

The NEET PG 2026 exam city intimation slip is expected to be released on August 11, 2026, as per the schedule issued by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). Once released, candidates can check it on the official website, natboard.edu.in.

The slip will tell candidates the city where their exam centre has been allotted. It is not the admit card. NBEMS is expected to release the NEET PG 2026 admit card on August 27, three days before the exam.

What candidates should check on the slip

After downloading the slip, check the candidate name, application number, category and allotted exam city. Compare the details with the information entered in the application form.

The city slip may not show the full address of the test centre. Candidates should wait for the admit card for the centre name, complete address, reporting time and exam day instructions. Keep both documents safe. A screenshot can help, but a downloaded file and a printed copy are better options.

New exam city allocation process

Candidates who applied later often found that nearby cities had no seats left. Some had to travel to another city or state, which added cost and stress before the exam.

Under the revised system, the choice of preferred states forms part of the allocation process. However, candidates should still check the allotted city as soon as the slip is released and plan travel without waiting for the last week.

City slip is not the admit card

This point matters because candidates often use the two terms as if they mean the same thing. The city intimation slip gives the name of the allotted city. The admit card contains the details needed to enter the examination centre.

For the August 30 exam, candidates should download the admit card on August 27 and read every instruction. Check the reporting time, allowed items, identity proof rules and dress requirements. Pack the required documents the night before. Searching for a passport photo at 7 am on exam day is not a useful medical entrance strategy.
