MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 has started for admission to MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing and selected AYUSH programmes. The Medical Counselling Committee is conducting the process online through mcc.nic.in.
Candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026 can register, pay the fee, fill college choices and take part in seat allotment. The process may feel like choosing a favourite dish from a very long menu, but a clear plan can make it easier.
What MCC NEET counselling covers
MCC handles the 15% All India Quota seats in government medical and dental colleges. It also conducts counselling for AIIMS, JIPMER, central universities, ESIC institutions and deemed universities. Some selected central institutes offer BSc Nursing seats through the MCC process.
State authorities conduct counselling for most state quota seats. In many states, this includes 85% of government college seats and seats in private colleges. MCC counselling and state counselling are separate processes, so eligible candidates should check both when required.

The academic session for undergraduate courses is scheduled to begin on September 8, 2026. MCC may update timings or instructions, so candidates should check the official website before taking action.
How to fill and lock choices
- Visit mcc.nic.in and open the UG medical counselling section.
- Log in with your NEET UG counselling details.
- Open the choice filling and locking page.
- Select colleges, courses and eligible quotas.
- Add the choices to your list.
- Arrange them in your true order of preference.
- Save the list and review it more than once.
- Lock the choices within the given window.
- Download the locked choice list for your records.
Candidates can add, delete or rearrange choices before locking closes. After locking, changes are not allowed for that round. Fill a wide list of suitable choices. Do not add a college only because its name sounds impressive. Check fees, location, course, hospital facilities and your willingness to join.
Reset registration facility
MCC has activated the RESET Registration option for Round 1. Candidates can use it to correct details in the registration form until 11 am on August 12, 2026. Check each detail before submitting it again, as errors in category, nationality or other information may affect seat processing.

The Round 1 result is expected on August 17. Candidates who receive a seat must download the allotment letter, complete the required steps and report to the college within the deadline. Missing the reporting date can lead to loss of the seat.

NRI and OCI candidates seeking seats in deemed universities may need a sponsor's passport copy, an embassy certificate, a sponsorship affidavit and a relationship affidavit. Keep original documents and several copies ready for reporting.
Cutoffs and participating colleges
Previous cutoffs can help you build a sensible choice list, but they do not guarantee a 2026 seat. Rank trends can change with the number of candidates, seat numbers, difficulty level, preferences and category rules. Expected marks shared online are estimates, not official cutoffs.
About 20 AIIMS are listed for the counselling process. They include AIIMS New Delhi, Jodhpur, Bhopal, Rishikesh, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Raipur, Nagpur, Gorakhpur, Bathinda, Bilaspur, Guwahati, Jammu, Mangalagiri, Rajkot, Bibinagar, Deoghar, Kalyani, Madurai and Rae Bareli. JIPMER, BHU, AMU, ESIC and deemed universities also form part of the MCC choice pool.
