Karnataka PGCET Result 2026: Steps to Check Scorecard and Rank

Karnataka PGCET Result 2026 live update: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is expected to release the PGCET 2026 result soon. Candidates will be able to download their scorecards from the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/pgcet2026.

The MBA and MCA exam was held on June 14, 2026, while the MTech exam took place on May 23, 2026. The wait has crossed the usual result window, so many candidates are checking the KEA website several times a day. Keep your PGCET number ready. It may soon become the most important number in your notebook.

Is Karnataka PGCET Result 2026 Released?

As of August 11, 2026, KEA has not activated the Karnataka PGCET result link. The result is expected soon, but KEA has not confirmed the date or time through an official notice. Candidates should rely on the KEA website for the final update and avoid unverified messages on social media.

In recent years, KEA has taken between 35 and 59 days to publish the result after the exam. The 2026 MBA and MCA result has crossed 57 days from the exam date. This is longer than the average, but it falls close to the delay seen in 2023 and 2024.

Details Mentioned on the PGCET Scorecard

Check the scorecard for errors as soon as you download it. It is expected to include:

  • Candidate name
  • PGCET number
  • Registration number
  • Photograph and signature
  • Date of birth
  • Gender and category
  • Candidate type, such as Karnataka or non-Karnataka
  • Marks obtained
  • PGCET rank
  • Programme applied for

If you find a mistake in your name, category, date of birth or other details, contact KEA through the official contact channels. Save the scorecard before raising a query.

What Happens After the PGCET Result?

KEA will use the PGCET rank for the centralised counselling process. The counselling process may include these stages:

  1. Document verification
  2. Release of the seat matrix
  3. College and course option entry
  4. Mock seat allotment
  5. Editing of college preferences
  6. First-round seat allotment
  7. Fee payment and confirmation
  8. Reporting to the allotted college

KEA usually conducts two allotment rounds. It may hold an extra round if seats remain vacant. Candidates should keep their marks cards, degree certificate, study certificates, category certificate, income certificate and identity proof ready. The exact list will be given in the counselling notice.

How Is the Karnataka PGCET Rank Used?

A higher PGCET score generally leads to a better rank. KEA prepares the merit list using the exam score. Marks from the qualifying degree are used to check eligibility, but they are not added to the PGCET merit score.

For MBA admission, candidates usually need at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination. The minimum requirement for reserved categories is often 45%, subject to KEA rules and the official notification. Meeting the minimum marks does not guarantee a seat. Rank, category, college choice and seat availability all matter.

PGCET Cutoff and College Options

KEA does not usually release college cutoffs with the result. Cutoff ranks appear during counselling and seat allotment. They can change based on the number of candidates, exam difficulty, available seats, college demand and candidate category.

Past admission trends show that top ranks may open options at institutes such as Bangalore Institute of Technology, BMS College of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology and PES University. These names are based on past trends, not a promise of admission for 2026.

What If You Forget Your Login Details?

Use the password recovery or retrieve password option on the KEA login page. You may need your registered PGCET number, registration number or date of birth. Do not share your login details with anyone, even if they claim to have a shortcut to your result. There is no secret express lane for exam scorecards.
