DRDO CEPTAM 2027 Complete Guide: Latest Updates, Technician Vacancy, Coaching Institutes & Test Series

DRDO CEPTAM 2027 planning using CEPTAM 11 eligibility and pay references, with ACE Engineering Academy course-scope checks and technical preparation.

DRDO CEPTAM 2027 Complete Guide: Latest Updates, Technician Vacancy, Coaching Institutes & Test Series

Greetings Students! I am Runal Naik. DRDO CEPTAM preparation depends on the advertised technical or trade post, not merely on completing a general reasoning and mathematics course.

AcademyCheck connects qualification and post-code checks with the specialist teaching, practice and any trade requirements needed for your selected route.

DRDO technical recruitment requires careful matching of the post code and qualification. CEPTAM Senior Technical Assistant-B and Technician-A are different routes. A degree that is higher than the prescribed qualification does not automatically make a candidate eligible.

The current reference is CEPTAM 11

The official CEPTAM-11 advertisement covers 561 Senior Technical Assistant-B vacancies and 203 Technician-A vacancies. It uses 1 January 2026 as the crucial date of eligibility. A separate CEPTAM 2027 notification was not verified here, so these are historical CEPTAM-11 conditions, not a new 2027 application invitation.

For updates, use the DRDO website and the relevant CEPTAM notices. Do not mix technical-cadre recruitment with Scientist B recruitment, which follows a different route.

Qualification checks that matter

Use this compact comparison only for CEPTAM-11. The exact discipline or trade must be matched to the post code in the advertisement; do not treat a general degree as a substitute.

Route and post-code group

CEPTAM-11 qualification reference

Higher-qualification rule

Qualifying and merit stage

STA-B, post codes 0101 to 0117

Post-code-specific BSc discipline or AICTE-recognised diploma listed in the advertisement; examples include Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics and Psychology.

As on 01.01.2026, candidates possessing MSc, PhD, BTech, BE or other listed higher qualifications in any subject or discipline were not considered for CEPTAM-11 recruitment. This is not a blanket rule for every DRDO route.

Tier-I was the common screening CBT. Tier-II Part II was subject-specific and used for provisional selection; the Personality Test in Part I was not counted for selection.

Technician-A, post codes 0201 to 0216

Normally Class X or equivalent plus the recognised ITI certificate for the named trade. Where an ITI does not award the required certificate, the advertisement provides specified alternative certificate routes. A diploma or BSc can be eligible only if the Technician-A EQR is met.

The same CEPTAM-11 higher-qualification exclusion applied, including MSc, PhD, BTech and BE; read the exact trade EQR before applying.

Tier-I screened candidates. Tier-II Part II supported shortlisting and merit for the trade test. The trade test was practical and qualifying in nature; final provisional selection required qualifying it.

The relevant historical cut-off for every qualification statement above is 01.01.2026. Check the next advertisement again before relying on any CEPTAM-11 condition.

Pay reference

CEPTAM 11 lists Level 6, ₹35,400–₹1,12,400, for STA-B and Level 2, ₹19,900–₹63,200, for Technician-A. These are the advertised basic-pay scales for that recruitment, not calculated monthly take-home salaries or a confirmed 2027 revision.

Written and trade preparation

Start with the scheme and syllabus for your post. Technical preparation should cover the exact discipline or trade, while common aptitude subjects should receive time according to the published paper. Technician applicants should also prepare the practical skills required by any trade stage.

Use previous questions to identify weak concepts, then practise explanations and calculations without relying on a memorised answer. For practical preparation, follow the correct tools, procedures and safety instructions taught in your trade qualification.

Coaching and test selection

Engineering or government-exam providers can support parts of the syllabus, but a GATE course is not automatically a CEPTAM course. ACE Engineering Academy Hyderabad has an engineering preparation listing; verify exact CEPTAM coverage before choosing a product.

Use the GATE preparation guide only as a contextual reference for how a technical package may need a CEPTAM-specific gap check. It is not labelled as CEPTAM-specific preparation. A dedicated paid CEPTAM 2027 course or test-series fee was not independently confirmed. Use sample questions to check level and trade relevance before purchasing.

Before applying

Make a qualification-to-post-code checklist and compare it with the current advertisement. Preserve your educational and trade certificates and follow notices for examination, scrutiny and later stages. Eligibility should be resolved before substantial spending on a course for a post you cannot apply for.

FAQs

1. Can a general government-exam course cover all CEPTAM posts?

No. Use it for common subjects only. Technical and trade requirements must be matched to the specific post and notification.

2. How should I select a technical mock series?

Check the discipline, qualification level, units and solution accuracy in a sample paper. A mixed technical bundle may contain little material for your own trade.

3. Should I assume a higher qualification makes me eligible?

No. Read the exact accepted qualification and any exclusions in the advertisement. A higher qualification is not automatically a substitute.

4. How should practical preparation fit into the study plan?

Where a trade or practical stage is prescribed, give it dedicated time. Written questions cannot replace practice of the actual task.

5. Can an old CEPTAM paper still be useful?

Yes, for matching topics and diagnostic practice. Use the new notice, not the old paper, to determine the next recruitment’s scheme and eligibility.

Start with the DRDO post code and accepted qualification. Protect study time for the relevant technical or trade subjects, and use general aptitude resources only for the parts they actually cover.
