Azim Premji Scholarship 2026-27: Round 2 Dates, Eligibility & Apply Online
Missed Round 1? Check Azim Premji Foundation scholarship eligibility, Rs 30,000 annual support, January 10-31 Round 2 dates and the documents to prepare now.

Hello students! I'm Runal Naik, an Education Research Writer at AcademyCheck. Missing a scholarship deadline can feel discouraging, especially when college expenses are already mounting. There is still a next step for eligible applicants to the Azim Premji Scholarship 2026-27.
Round 1 is closed. Azim Premji Foundation says students who missed it can register and upload documents now, then submit during Round 2 from 10 to 31 January 2027. Preparing an account today does not mean that your application has been submitted.
Important dates: fresh applications and renewals are different
Fresh 2026 cohort: Round 2: Dates/deadline: 10-31 January 2027; Action: Prepare your account and documents now; submit during Round 2.
Existing 2024/2025 scholars: first renewal batch: Dates/deadline: 30 October 2026; Action: Use the renewal route and follow its document instructions.
Open the official application page and select the applicable fresh or renewal route.
Do not use the renewal deadline as the last date for a fresh application. Keep separate reminders for account preparation, submission and any later verification request.
Who can apply for the 2026-27 cohort?
Girl students who completed both Classes 10 and 12 as regular students of government schools/colleges in eligible regions.
First-year regular students admitted in 2026-27 to a recognised first undergraduate degree or diploma lasting two to five years.
The higher-education institution may be a government institution or a credible, bona fide private college/university anywhere in India.
Eligible schooling regions are Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi (NCT), Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
The Foundation describes the scholarship as not based on merit, caste, income or religion. Students admitted to Azim Premji University and current or former Wipro scholarship recipients, such as Santoor scholars, are excluded under its published FAQ.
How much support is available?
The award is Rs 30,000 per year, not per month, for the duration of the eligible first course. A five-year course can therefore receive up to Rs 1.5 lakh; shorter courses do not automatically receive that total. It can support tuition and other education-related out-of-pocket expenses.

What next?
Make a simple education-budget list: fees, books, travel and living costs. Record each scholarship's rules separately, including any restrictions on receiving another award. Do not count unapproved support as money already available.
