UPESSC opens a second document verification round for absent TGT candidates. Learn how to download admit cards and which documents to carry.
AC Team

Missed your first document verification round for the UP TGT recruitment? Good news is waiting for you. UPESSC has opened a second chance for candidates who could not attend the first round. This is your window to get back in the process, so read on to know exactly what to do next.
What Is This Second Round About?
UPESSC has released the TGT admit cards for the Special Documents Verification round. This round is meant for candidates who were absent during the first phase. If your name appears on the published list, you get another shot at completing your verification.
The document verification for this round will take place on 10th August 2026. Mark this date on your calendar because there are no extra rounds after this.
How to Download Your Admit Card
The process is simple and takes only a few minutes. Here is what you need to do:
- Go to the official website, upessc.up.gov.in.
- Look for the link that says "UP TGT Special Document Verification Admit Card 2026."
- Enter your login details such as registration number and date of birth.
- Submit the form.
- Download the admit card and print it out.
Keep this printout safe. You will need it on the day of verification along with your other documents.
Documents You Must Carry
Reaching the verification centre without the right papers can cost you your spot. Here is a checklist to pack a day before:
- Printed copy of the UP TGT 2026 DV admit card
- Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets
- A valid government-issued photo ID, such as an Aadhaar card or passport
- Category, EWS, PwD, or reservation certificates, if these apply to you
- Any other documents that UPESSC has specifically asked for
Make photocopies of each document too. Centres often ask for both originals and copies, and you don't want to be the person running to a photocopy shop at the last minute.
Important Dates to Remember
Here is a quick recap of the timeline:
- First Phase: 9th to 17th July 2026
- Special Documents Verification (Second Round): 10th August 2026
If you missed the first phase for any reason, this second round is your only backup. Treat it as your final chance and prepare well in advance.
A Few Tips Before You Go
Reach the verification centre early. Government offices can get crowded, and standing in a long queue in the August heat is not fun for anyone. Carry a bag with all your documents arranged in order, this saves time and avoids fumbling in front of the verification officer.
Double check that your admit card details match your other documents. Even a small spelling mismatch between your name on the admit card and your ID proof can create confusion. It is better to sort this out beforehand than to explain it on the spot.
Also, keep a pen handy. Some forms may need to be filled or signed at the centre, and borrowing a pen from a stranger is never the best way to start your day.
