UP Scholarship 2026-27 Dashmottar Applications: Fresh & Renewal Deadlines, Eligibility, OTR and Apply Steps
UP Dashmottar Scholarship 2026-27 guide covering renewal and fresh deadlines, OTR, eligibility, documents, application steps, verification, payment stages and the optional Motion Education comparison for students preparing separately for entrance exams.
Greetings, students! If you are applying for the UP Dashmottar scholarship, changing deadlines, OTR requirements and institution verification can make the process confusing. AcademyCheck is here to solve this exact problem. I checked the current government timetable and organised the fresh, renewal, document and payment steps in one place.
The official UP Scholarship portal lists the session 2026-27 timetable for the Post-Matric Other Than Intermediate category, commonly called Dashmottar. This article explains who the category covers, what fresh and renewal students must do, which documents to keep ready, what happens after submission and when the next verification and payment stages are scheduled.
UP Scholarship Dashmottar 2026-27: key dates
The dates below are taken from the timetable displayed on the official portal and its Postmatric 2026-27 government order.
Dashmottar renewal online application and hard-copy submission: 15 September 2026 to 15 October 2026.
Renewal institution verification and forwarding: 15 September 2026 to 25 October 2026.
Dashmottar fresh registration and online application: 15 September 2026 to 31 October 2026.
Fresh applicant final print: 16 September 2026 to 2 November 2026.
Fresh applicant hard copy with attachments: 16 September 2026 to 4 November 2026.
Fresh institution verification and forwarding: 16 September 2026 to 10 November 2026.
Expected renewal transfer window: 16 January 2027 to 25 January 2027.
Expected fresh transfer window: 27 January 2027 to 31 January 2027.
The portal’s schedule also includes university or affiliating-agency checks, NIC scrutiny, district-level locking and demand creation. A student should therefore not treat the online submission screen as final approval. The institution still has to verify and forward the application.
Who comes under the Dashmottar category?
Dashmottar means Post-Matric Other Than Intermediate. It is meant for eligible students studying beyond the Class 11–12 intermediate category, such as undergraduate or graduation courses, postgraduate courses, diploma programmes, ITI courses and other qualifying post-Class 12 programmes shown for the student’s institution and course on the portal.
The 2026-27 post-matric timetable identifies SC, ST, General, Minority and OBC categories. Eligibility is still subject to the applicable course, institution, domicile, category, income and document rules. Match it with your current records and the options shown after login.
Students in Classes 9 to 12 should not use this Dashmottar schedule. The portal has a separate timetable for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Intermediate applications.
Fresh or renewal - which option should you select?
Fresh application: Select this if you are applying under this scholarship category for the first time or the portal treats your current application as a new registration.
Renewal application: Select this if you received or submitted the scholarship in the previous cycle and are continuing in the eligible course or progression route.
Check last year’s registration details: Renewal students should keep their previous registration or application number and review every pre-filled field.
Do not create a duplicate form: First understand whether the portal expects renewal, correction or a fresh form.
One Time Registration is required before applying
The official portal says that One Time Registration, or OTR, is mandatory from the 2025-26 session before a student can apply for a scholarship. Use the official UP OTR registration page first if you have not completed it.
Keep the mobile number and identity details used during OTR available. After OTR, return to the student application route, select the Dashmottar or Post-Matric Other Than Intermediate option and choose Fresh or Renewal according to your case.
Documents and details to keep ready
Aadhaar and OTR details.
Uttar Pradesh domicile or other required residence record.
Caste or community certificate, where applicable.
Current income certificate, where required by the scheme.
Previous qualifying-exam marksheet and current academic details.
Admission, enrolment or course-registration number.
Current fee receipt or non-refundable fee details.
Bank passbook or account details in the student’s name, with Aadhaar seeding as required for DBT.
Recent photograph and any institution-specific attachment.
Previous scholarship registration number for a renewal form.
Before final submission, compare the spelling of your name, date of birth, Aadhaar-linked bank account, IFSC, course name, institution code and category across your records.
How to apply for UP Dashmottar Scholarship 2026-27
Open the official portal and read the current student notice.
Complete OTR if it is not already done.
Open the student registration or login route for Post-Matric Other Than Intermediate.
Select Fresh or Renewal.
Enter personal, academic, category, institution, fee and bank information exactly as supported by your documents.
Upload the required records in the accepted format and size.
Review the complete form before locking or final submission.
Submit online and save the application number, acknowledgement and final form.
Take the final print within the applicable print window.
Submit the signed hard copy with attachments to your institution before its receiving deadline.
Ask the institution whether biometric, marks, attendance and forwarding steps are complete.
For renewal applicants, the student-side application and hard-copy deadline is 15 October. For fresh applicants, online registration closes on 31 October, but final print and hard-copy stages continue into November.
What happens after you submit the form?
The institution verifies the student, course, marks and attendance information and forwards eligible applications.
The university or affiliating agency verifies genuine students and can block ineligible students, courses or institutions.
NIC conducts scrutiny for errors or suspicious data.
The district committee locks the verified data digitally and creates the demand.
The scholarship amount is transferred after the relevant approval and payment stage.
For the 2026-27 schedule, the portal lists a 16–25 January 2027 transfer window for renewal cases and a 27–31 January 2027 transfer window for fresh cases after later verification stages. You can also use the official PFMS Know Your Payment page when the payment record becomes available.
How much scholarship can a student receive?
The amount is not one fixed figure for every Dashmottar student. It depends on the course group and whether the student is a day scholar or hosteller. Read the rate shown for your course and category in the current official instructions rather than using a general social-media figure.
What students should do if the form shows an error
Check whether the problem is caused by OTR, Aadhaar seeding, bank data, institution code, course mapping or a certificate.
Take a screenshot or note the exact error message.
Contact the institution scholarship office for course, fee, attendance or forwarding issues.
Use the correction or defective-data route shown on the official portal when that window opens.
Do not submit a second form simply because the first one is under verification.
Keep the application number, final print, hard-copy receipt and communication safely.
Is coaching required for the UP Dashmottar form?
No. The government scholarship application is based on the official portal, student records and institution verification. Joining a coaching institute is not an eligibility condition.
If a Dashmottar student is separately preparing for JEE, NEET or another entrance exam, the Motion Education Pune profile on AcademyCheck can be used only as an example of how to compare a coaching option’s courses, fees and facilities. Any coaching scholarship test or fee waiver is separate from the Uttar Pradesh government scholarship.
