If you have been refreshing the TS EAPCET counselling page every five minutes since morning, you can finally relax. The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has released the phase 1 seat allotment result for TS EAMCET 2026, and your seat status is ready to view.
This result decides which engineering, agriculture, or pharmacy college you get for the next few years, so it is worth a proper look rather than a quick glance between WhatsApp messages.
How To Check Your Allotment Status
Head to the official counselling portal, tgeapcet.nic.in, and log in using your application number and password. Once you are in, you can download your allotment order directly. The site also lets you check college-wise allotment details, so you can see which candidates got seats in which colleges and courses, in case you want to compare notes with friends.
How The Seats Were Allotted
The allotment is not random. TGCHE looked at four things while preparing this list.
- Your rank in TS EAPCET/EAMCET 2026
- The options you filled during web counselling
- Your reservation category
- Seats available in each college
So if your first preference did not come through, it usually means either the rank cutoff was higher than yours or the seats in that college simply ran out.
What Happens Next: Phase 2 Timeline
For students who did not get a seat in phase 1, or want to try for a better option, phase 2 counselling is right around the corner. Here is how the schedule looks.
- July 17: Online registration, fee payment, and slot booking for certificate verification begin.
- July 18: Certificate verification takes place for candidates who booked their slots.
- July 19: Candidates fill and freeze their web options on the same day.
- On or before July 22: Provisional phase 2 seat allotment result gets published.
- July 22 to July 24: Tuition fee payment and self-reporting for allotted candidates.
- July 25 to July 28: Physical reporting to the allotted college to confirm admission.
- July 28: Last date to cancel a seat allotted in phase 2.
That is a tight schedule, so mark these dates on your calendar or set phone reminders. Missing even one deadline can mean losing the seat you worked so hard for.
A Few Things To Keep In Mind
Before you report to your college, keep all original documents ready, including your TS EAMCET rank card, intermediate marks memo, caste certificate if applicable, and income certificate for fee reimbursement. Colleges rarely accept photocopies at this stage, so carry the originals along with a few extra copies just to be safe.
If the seat you got does not match what you hoped for, do not panic. Phase 2 gives you another shot at improving your options. Many students end up with a better seat in the second round simply because more seats open up after some candidates cancel or do not report.
On the other hand, if you are happy with your phase 1 allotment, complete your tuition fee payment and self-reporting on time, then report physically to the college as instructed. Skipping this step, even if you are satisfied with the seat, can lead to it being cancelled.
Counselling season can feel like a rollercoaster, one day you are anxious about ranks, the next you are stressed about documents. But if you follow the timeline carefully and keep your paperwork sorted, the process becomes far less stressful than it looks on paper.
