SSC CPO 2027 Complete Guide: Latest Updates, SI Recruitment, Coaching Institutes, Test Series & Physical Test
Plan SSC CPO eligibility, written papers and physical tests, with Adda247, SSC Wallah by PW, Utkarsh Classes and Testbook coaching options.

Hello, CPO aspirants! I'm Runal Naik. Prepare for SSC CPO by studying all four written-exam subjects and making time for measured physical practice from the beginning. A good mock score helps, but your preparation also needs the correct post eligibility, documents and fitness requirements.
For 2027 planning, use the official 2026 CPO notice below as a reference. Status checked on 4 October 2026: SSC has not announced the 2027 CPO notification, application window or exam dates on its official portal. Your recruitment cycle's notification will control the final rules and dates. Follow the SSC portal for the notification, amendments, admit card and result.
SI recruitment: check your post first
Delhi Police/CAPF SI: recognised bachelor's degree; usual age 20-25.
CISF SI (Fire), male: PCM science degree or a three-year diploma after matriculation in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Automobile, Chemical, Mining, Aeronautical or Telecommunication Engineering; age 18-30.
Delhi Police SI, male: valid LMV licence for motorcycle and car at the physical stage.
Under the 2026 baseline, SC/ST age relaxation is five years and OBC three years. Match your documents to your cycle's cutoff and other relaxation rules. For Fire, a higher engineering degree does not remove the notice's stated basic-diploma condition.
The 2026 sequence is Paper I, PST/PET, Paper II, then medical examination and document checks. Physical tests are qualifying.
Written exam pattern: build the correct mock routine
The following is the 2026 notice's preparation baseline:
Paper | Section | Questions | Marks | Time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Paper I | Reasoning | 25 | 25 | 15 min |
Paper I | General Awareness | 25 | 25 | 15 min |
Paper I | Quant | 25 | 25 | 15 min |
Paper I | English | 25 | 25 | 15 min |
Paper I total | Four sections | 100 | 100 | 60 min |
Paper II | Reasoning | 20 | 40 | 20 min |
Paper II | General Awareness | 20 | 40 | 20 min |
Paper II | Quant | 20 | 40 | 20 min |
Paper II | English | 100 | 200 | 60 min |
Paper II total | Four sections | 160 | 320 | 120 min |
Each wrong answer loses 0.25 marks in Paper I and 0.50 in Paper II.
Choose mocks with the correct section timers and practise finishing each subject within its limit. Keep English alongside the other three subjects. Match older preparation plans to the current notice.
Physical test: know the event you are practising
Basic height: men 170 cm; women 157 cm. Male chest: Delhi Police/CAPF SI 80-85 cm; Fire 81-86 cm. Regional/category relaxations vary by post.
Event | Men | Women | Attempts / notes |
|---|---|---|---|
100 m | 16 sec | 18 sec | Qualifying event |
Endurance run | 1.6 km in 6.5 min | 800 m in 4 min | Qualifying event |
Long jump | 3.65 m | 2.7 m | 3 chances |
High jump | 1.2 m | 0.9 m | 3 chances |
Shot put | 16 lb, 4.5 m | No event | 3 chances |
Record performance over the prescribed distance, with recovery between demanding sessions. Learn jump and shot-put technique with suitable ground supervision. Check actual physical-training facilities separately from an online written-exam course.
A workable written preparation plan
Quant: repair weak arithmetic concepts, then combine them with algebra, geometry and timed mixed practice. Write down whether an error came from the method, calculation or rushed reading.
Reasoning: practise a topic, explain the rule behind your answer and revisit mistakes without the solution visible. Include visual questions as well as number and verbal sets.
English: combine grammar correction, vocabulary recall and comprehension. Use questions in sentence context rather than memorising isolated answers.
General Awareness: maintain a manageable revision list. Test recall regularly before adding another large set of notes.
On weekdays, study a weak topic, practise another subject and revise previous errors. Reserve separate weekly sessions for a timed paper and its analysis, alongside physical practice.
Online coaching options for CPO preparation
Coaching is optional. Choose foundation teaching, revision or tests according to your diagnostic results. Match these current CPO offerings and their access periods to your target attempt. Faculty experience figures are provider-reported.
Adda247
Its AIM CPO 2026 target listing offers Hinglish live/recorded classes, 33 mocks and 67 e-books. A target batch can suit a learner seeking an organised revision route. Compare its remaining lessons and mock format with your weak subjects.
Sahil Tiwari - 7+ years - Reasoning.
Tarun Pratap Singh - 7+ years - Maths.
Bharti Kaushik - 8+ years - English.
Around 30 minutes in Sahil's order-and-ranking class, a 52-card left/right-position question is worked on the board. This SSC CGL-labelled sample teaches a transferable reasoning skill. Pause and solve a fresh question to trial the explanation.

SSC Wallah by PW

Aditya Kushwaha - 12+ years - GK/GS.
Around 10 minutes in Pawan's percentage/Venn-diagram class, the diagram separates the overlap from the regions belonging only to each set. This shared Quant sample is on PW's SSC GD/MTS channel. Check the CPO batch's live sessions separately.

Testbook
Its Hinglish CPO Sindham Live Course 2026 page lists live/recorded teaching, notes, mocks and doubt support. It names Ananya Singh for English and Gaurav Maurya for GK/GS. Individual teaching tenure is not stated on that CPO listing.
Ananya Singh - Experience not stated - English.
Gaurav Maurya - Experience not stated - GK/GS.
Around 12:16 in Sonal's SSC reasoning practice, the board solves a number analogy using the starting number's square plus two. Trial this shared SSC explanation, then confirm your batch teachers, teaching access and any recurring renewal. You can also compare listed SSC learning options.
Choose a test series by the practice it gives you
Try one current full mock before paying. Check section timers, marking, question explanations, reattempt access and whether Paper II includes all its subjects. Distinguish full mocks from topic tests and previous papers. A combined platform total can include several exams.
After a mock, repair two errors and change one timing habit. Keep a short error log and revisit the questions a few days later. Use the analysis to shape your next session.

Frequently asked questions
Should I study only English for Paper II?
No. The 2026 baseline includes Reasoning, General Awareness, Quant and English. Use the complete pattern table for your section practice.
Can I prepare without coaching?
Yes. Build a plan around the syllabus, subject practice, timed papers and error review. Add teaching support when a specific concept gap slows you down.
Does a CGL foundation course cover everything I need?
Compare its CPO paper coverage, updated mocks and access period. Arrange physical preparation separately from the shared written subjects.
How should I choose between classes and test-only support?
Use a diagnostic paper. Repeated concept errors suggest a teaching need; stable concepts with timing problems suggest more timed practice and analysis.
What should I do first this week?
Check your intended post, take a diagnostic set and record your physical starting point. Choose one main learning route and schedule time to review its practice.
Summary and your next step
Start with the post requirements and current written pattern. Combine subject learning, timed practice, error repair and physical preparation. Choose a course for the support you need, then check its teachers, language, remaining teaching and access deadline. Wishing you steady preparation and confidence in your CPO journey!
