SSC CHSL 2027 Complete Guide: Latest Updates, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Coaching Institutes, Test Series & Result
Plan SSC CHSL 2027 eligibility, written and typing preparation, with Oliveboard, Adda247, Testbook, Physics Wallah and KD Campus Jaipur options.
Hello students! I'm Runal Naik, an Education Research Writer at AcademyCheck. SSC CHSL is a route to central-government office and data-entry jobs after Class 12. For 2027 preparation, start with the subjects, typing practice and a workable weekly routine. The 2027 notification, vacancy total, application deadline and examination dates are awaited; a coaching course carrying “2027” is not an official recruitment announcement.
1. SSC CHSL 2027: notification and latest updates
Follow the Staff Selection Commission for the new notice, amendments, application link and examination schedule.
The published 2026-27 tentative calendar lists CHSL 2026. Its calendar-year heading does not make that examination CHSL 2027.
Keep your recruitment year consistent across application, admit card, answer key and result. A selection stage held in 2027 can belong to an earlier recruitment.
This guide uses the official 2025 notice as a clearly labelled preparation baseline. The new notification will control 2027 eligibility, pattern and vacancies.
2. Posts, eligibility and salary
The 2025 notice covers LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade A. It requires Class 12, with Science and Mathematics for specified DEO posts. Its age range is 18-27, with notified relaxations; do not reuse that cycle's birth-date window for 2027. LDC/JSA basic pay is Level 2, ₹19,900-₹63,200; DEO posts use Levels 4/5, ₹25,500-₹81,100 or ₹29,200-₹92,300. These are pay scales, not monthly take-home promises.
Match the exact post to your qualification before entering preferences.
Check the qualification cut-off if your Class 12 result is pending.
Keep the prescribed category certificate ready; a certificate suitable for another application may use a different format.
Read any post-specific conditions, including BRO requirements, before choosing that department.
3. Examination pattern and typing
The official 2025 notice provides this preparation framework:
Tier I
Subject | Qs | Marks |
|---|---|---|
English | 25 | 50 |
General | 25 | 50 |
Quantitative | 25 | 50 |
General | 25 | 50 |
Total | 100 | 200 |
Tier I lasts 60 minutes, with a 0.50-mark penalty for each wrong answer.
Tier II: Session I
Section | Qs | Marks | Min |
|---|---|---|---|
I: Maths / | 60 | 180 | 60 |
II: English / | 60 | 180 | 60 |
Computer | 15 | 45 | 15 |
Session I | 135 | 405 | 135 |
Section I has 30 Maths and 30 Reasoning questions; Section II has 40 English and 20 General Awareness questions. Computer Knowledge is qualifying. The 405 marks above are the administered total, including that qualifying module; do not treat all 405 as merit marks.
Session II contains the qualifying skill/typing test. DEO skill testing lasts 15 minutes. LDC/JSA typing lasts 10 minutes, at 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi. Check the notice for eligible additional time and the exact post-specific instructions.
Prepare for both knowledge and execution. A learner who solves questions accurately but cannot manage the computer interface or typing passage still has work to do. Keep the applicable section timers and skill-test instructions beside your mock-test plan.
4. Syllabus: what to study first
Maths: Begin with fractions, percentages, ratio, profit/loss, interest and time-work. Move to algebra, geometry, mensuration and trigonometry after your basics become reliable.
Reasoning: Practise series, analogy, coding, classification and visual questions. Record the rule you missed rather than saving only the answer.
English: Combine grammar questions, vocabulary revision and short comprehension passages. Revisit mistakes in their sentence context.
General awareness: Use a small revision system for static subjects and current affairs. Repeated recall is more useful than collecting unmanageable notes.
Computer and typing: Add keyboard practice and computer fundamentals early instead of postponing them until after Tier I.
5. Application, admit card and result checklist
Complete SSC registration through the official portal and check your name and birth date against your certificates.
Choose the correct examination year and read the photograph, signature and other upload requirements shown for that form.
Review the complete preview, pay any applicable fee and save the submitted acknowledgement.
Use the official examination notices for city information and admit cards; a city slip does not replace an admit card.
After the examination, follow the answer-key, objection and result instructions for that cycle. Save your scorecard and prepare the next-stage documents.
For another SSC pathway, the SSC CGL complete guide explains the graduate-level route. Compare eligibility before dividing preparation across both exams.
6. Online coaching options
Coaching is optional. Use a timed paper to identify whether you need foundation teaching, revision or mainly practice. These options provide different types of support rather than a single overall ranking.
Oliveboard
The English-medium CHSL 2027 foundation course lists a 21 September 2026 start, 300+ live/recorded sessions, notes, current-affairs sessions and mocks with analysis.
Its CHSL catalogue separately lists 30 full mocks and 112 previous papers; a previous-paper count is not a full-mock count.
Useful if you want English-medium classes and test analysis together. Check recordings and the remaining live schedule if joining after the start.
Adda247
The Eklavya CHSL 2026 listing shows 383 live classes, 513 mocks and 67 e-books, with a displayed offer of ₹1,151.26 against ₹5,233.
This is a 2026 target product. For a 2027 purchase, compare its validity and updated coverage with a foundation batch before choosing.
A large combined test catalogue should be checked for CHSL-specific Tier I, Tier II and typing support.
Testbook
Its CHSL coaching page offers online courses, live classes and practice resources.
Try a lesson and test on the device you will actually use. Check whether the solution explains your error, and whether Tier II and typing are included in the chosen package.
Read the full subscription price, access duration and renewal terms before paying.
Physics Wallah
The SSC catalogue lists Kamyabi 3.0 CHSL Target 2026 in Hinglish, with an advertised schedule from 24 June 2026 to 30 April 2027.
Its CHSL Mahapack has a different access window. Compare the exact batch, rather than treating every SSC product as interchangeable.
Its platform-wide class and test totals cover multiple SSC exams; they are not a CHSL-only count.
Read the CHSL online coaching comparison for a wider shortlist. Use its institute links alongside the latest batch terms when narrowing your choice.
7. Offline classes and test-series choices
If a classroom timetable helps you stay consistent, compare nearby SSC centres by commute, teaching medium, actual batch faculty, doubt access and typing facilities. KD Campus Jaipur is one verified SSC profile to explore for Jaipur; confirm that the branch's current package specifically includes CHSL.
Before buying a test series, use the CHSL test-series comparison. Check pattern updates, section timers, explanations, previous papers, reattempt access and typing practice. Browse SSC courses and test series on AcademyCheck, selecting products with explicit CHSL coverage.
8. A practical weekly preparation plan
Use weekdays for two weak topics, a language/reasoning set and a short typing session.
Take a full mock on the weekend and spend a separate session analysing it.
Divide errors into concept gaps, calculation mistakes, rushed reading and time lost. Each needs a different fix.
Repeat the weak topics before your next mock. Track accuracy and unfinished questions, not only total marks.
Keep one revision block free of new classes so yesterday's learning remains usable.
9. Frequently asked questions
Are 2027 vacancies confirmed? No confirmed total is available for this guide; wait for the new SSC notice.
Is there a separate Tier III? The official 2025 scheme places skill/typing within Tier II. Follow the new notice for your cycle.
Should I start typing now? Yes. Short regular practice helps you build accuracy gradually without disrupting written preparation.
Can a CGL course also prepare me for CHSL? Some subjects overlap, but check CHSL mocks, computer coverage and skill-test support separately.
What should I do before purchasing coaching? Take a baseline paper, identify your gaps, try a class and compare the exact batch's language, access and inclusions.
10. Summary and next steps
Start with a previous paper, a short topic list and daily typing. Choose teaching or test support for the gap you actually have, and use the new SSC notice for final recruitment rules. Keep your study plan, documents and official updates together.
