Re NEET 2026 OMR Sheet and Final Answer Key: Everything You Need to Know

If you sat for the NEET UG re-exam on June 21, you are probably refreshing neet.nta.nic.in every hour right now. We get it. Your medical seat depends on two documents: the OMR sheet and the final answer key. Let's break down what these mean and when you can expect them.

What Exactly Is the OMR Sheet?

Your OMR sheet is the actual answer sheet you filled during the exam. It shows your roll number, test booklet code, and every bubble you marked. Think of it as proof of what you actually did, not what you remember doing after three cups of chai and some post-exam panic.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the Re NEET OMR Response Sheet 2026 by July 8, 2026. Once it goes live, you can download it by logging into your candidate portal with your application number and password.

Steps to Download Your OMR Sheet

  • Visit neet.nta.nic.in
  • Click on the OMR sheet link
  • Log in using your application number and password
  • Download the PDF and save it somewhere you won't lose it

Final Answer Key: The Real Deal

The provisional answer key came out on June 25, and around 10,000 objections followed. Students always find something to challenge, that's just how NEET works. The NTA is now reviewing these objections before releasing the final answer key.

Unlike the provisional key, you cannot challenge the final answer key. It is locked in, and your result will be calculated directly from it. Expect this document to arrive along with or just before the results, likely by July 20, 2026.

Bonus Marks You Should Know About

Here's some good news buried in the fine print. Two Physics questions have issues: one was dropped entirely, and another has two correct answers.

ScenarioWho Gets Bonus Marks?
Dropped Question+4 marks to everyone who took the exam
Question with Two Answers+4 marks to anyone who picked either correct option

So if you were staring at that Physics question wondering if you missed something obvious, you probably didn't. The question was the problem, not you.

Marking Scheme, In Case You Forgot

Under exam pressure, basic math sometimes goes out the window. Here's a quick refresher:

  • +4 for every correct answer
  • -1 for every incorrect answer
  • 0 for questions you left unattempted

Formula: Total Score = (Correct Answers x 4) - (Incorrect Answers x 1)

Expected Cutoff Scores

While official cutoffs will come with the results, here is what experts expect based on previous trends:

CategoryExpected Cutoff
UR/EWS700-135
OBC, SC, ST150-120
UR/EWS-PwD150-110
OBC/SC/ST-PwD130-115

What If Two Students Get the Same Score?

NEET has a clear system for breaking ties, and it goes in this order:

  1. Higher marks in Biology
  2. Higher marks in Chemistry
  3. Higher marks in Physics
  4. Lower ratio of incorrect to correct answers overall
  5. Same ratio check, but subject by subject

So even if two candidates land on the same total score, the system digs deeper to sort them out fairly.

One More Thing: Fee Refund Window

If you're eligible for a NEET fee refund, the verification window has been extended to July 14, 2026. Don't let this slip by while you're busy calculating your expected rank for the fifteenth time.

Keep this page bookmarked and check back for updates as the NTA rolls out each document. Your seat in a medical college is worth the extra refresh clicks.
