NEET PG 2026 Image Correction: Fix Errors Before Final Deadline

NEET PG 2026 application correction is now open for candidates whose photographs, signatures or thumb impressions do not follow the rules set by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). This is the final chance to fix these image errors.

The selective edit window will remain open from August 12 at 1:00 PM to August 15 at 11:55 PM. Candidates who do not correct their rejected images within this period may face application rejection. NBEMS has stated that no further chance will be given for image correction.

Why NEET PG image correction matters

Your photograph, signature and thumb impression form a key part of your NEET PG application. If even one image fails to meet the required format or quality, NBEMS may mark it as rejected.

A rejected image may seem like a small issue. However, an unchecked error can put your entire application at risk. This is not the time to hope that the system will accept the same file on its second try. It is best to check the rules, prepare fresh images and upload them before the deadline.

NBEMS has sent email alerts to candidates whose images were found to be incorrect. Candidates should also log in to the official NBEMS website and check the status of their uploaded images.

Steps to correct rejected images

  1. Visit the official NBEMS website.
  2. Open the NEET PG 2026 application or candidate login link.
  3. Sign in with your application number, user ID and password.
  4. Check whether your photograph, signature or thumb impression has been rejected.
  5. Read the image instructions in the NEET PG 2026 Information Bulletin.
  6. Prepare new images that meet the required size, format and quality rules.
  7. Upload the corrected images through the selective edit window.
  8. Review the details before submitting the changes.
  9. Save the confirmation page or take a screenshot for your records.

Do not wait until the final hour. Websites can slow down when many candidates try to submit forms at the same time. A last-minute upload can turn a simple correction into a full stress workout.

Check the NEET PG 2026 image guidelines

NBEMS has asked candidates to read the image-upload instructions on pages 110 to 127 of the NEET PG 2026 Information Bulletin. These pages explain the rules for photographs, signatures and thumb impressions.

Pages 120 to 127 include examples of images that were rejected. These samples can help you spot common problems before you upload a new file. Compare your image with the official examples instead of relying on guesswork.

Common reasons for image rejection

  • Blurred or unclear photograph
  • Poor lighting or a dark background
  • Face not shown clearly
  • Incorrect image size or file format
  • Signature that is too small, too large or unclear
  • Thumb impression with smudged ink
  • Image cropped in the wrong way
  • Use of an old or unsuitable photograph
  • Extra marks, borders or text in the image

The exact requirements must be checked in the official bulletin. Do not follow image rules from an old exam form or an unrelated medical entrance test. A file accepted for one exam may fail the NEET PG system.

Keep your contact details active

Candidates should keep the email address and mobile number used in the application active until the NEET PG examination, counselling and admission process are complete.

NBEMS may use these details to send notices, correction alerts or other exam updates. Check your inbox, spam folder and text messages at regular intervals. Also make sure your phone can receive messages and that your email account has enough storage.

Important dates for candidates

  • Selective Edit Window opens: August 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM
  • Correction deadline: August 15, 2026, at 11:55 PM
  • NEET PG 2026 examination: August 30, 2026

Only candidates whose images need correction should use this selective edit facility. Before pressing the final submit button, check each uploaded file, read any warning shown on the screen and keep proof of submission.

Final checklist before submission

  • Photograph follows the official instructions.
  • Signature is clear and properly placed.
  • Thumb impression is sharp and visible.
  • Files meet the required format and size.
  • All changes are saved before the window closes.
  • Confirmation or submission proof is stored safely.
  • Email and mobile number remain active.

Use only the official NBEMS website for the correction process. Avoid sharing your login details with agents or unknown websites. If the portal shows an error, record the message and contact NBEMS through the official communication channels listed in the information bulletin.
