The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has revised the release date for the NEET PG 2026 admit card. Candidates can now download their admit cards from the NBEMS website on August 25, 2026.
The update comes just days before the entrance exam. NBEMS said the change was made due to unavoidable circumstances and requests linked to candidates from Assam and Meghalaya. The admit card was earlier expected to be released on August 24.
NEET PG 2026 exam date and timing
NBEMS will conduct NEET PG 2026 on August 30, 2026, which falls on a Sunday. The exam will take place in a single shift from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.
The test will be held in Computer Based Test mode. Candidates should reach the exam centre as per the time mentioned in their admit card. A few extra minutes can save a lot of stress on exam morning. Nobody wants to begin a major medical entrance test with a race against the clock.
Why was the admit card date changed?
NBEMS first planned to release the admit card on August 27, 2026. The Board later moved the date forward to August 24 to help candidates prepare in advance. It has now revised the date once again and fixed August 25 as the release date.
The latest notice refers to requests received from Assam and Meghalaya. Candidates from these states should read the official update with care and check whether any instruction applies to their exam arrangements.
How to download the NEET PG 2026 admit card
The admit card will not be sent by post. Candidates must download it from the official NBEMS website after logging in with their credentials.
- Visit the official NBEMS website.
- Open the NEET PG 2026 section.
- Click the link for the admit card.
- Log in using the required credentials.
- Download the admit card and check all details.
- Print a copy for the exam and future use.
Candidates should check their name, photograph, signature, roll number, exam date, exam time and test centre details. If any detail appears incorrect, they should contact NBEMS through the official help channels without delay.
Test city information was issued earlier
NBEMS issued the test city intimation slip on August 11, 2026. The city slip and the admit card serve different purposes. The city intimation slip informs candidates about the city where the exam centre is located. The admit card carries the full exam centre address and other important instructions.
Candidates should not treat the city slip as a replacement for the admit card. They must carry the admit card as instructed by NBEMS on exam day.
Do not trust unverified NEET PG updates
NBEMS has warned candidates against rumours, unverified social media posts and messages shared by third parties. Exam dates and admit card updates can change, so old screenshots and forwarded messages may create confusion.
Candidates should rely only on notices published on the official NBEMS website or information shared through authorised NBEMS communication channels. Checking the official portal is safer than asking a group chat that has already changed the exam date three times.
