AC Team

Good news for everyone still waiting to fill out the MH CET Law counselling form. The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has pushed the deadline again, giving candidates more breathing room before the CAP registration window closes.
What Changed?
The MH CET Law 2026 3-Year LLB CAP registration deadline now stands at July 13, 2026. The earlier cutoff was July 8, 2026, so this is the second extension in a short span. If you missed the first deadline, you get another shot.
Candidates from both Maharashtra State (MS) and Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) categories can use this extended window. So whether you belong to Maharashtra or you are applying from outside the state, the rule applies to you equally.
Worth noting: the 5-Year LLB counselling registration has a different timeline. That window closes on July 9, 2026, so don't mix up the two dates if you're applying for the integrated course.
Who Can Apply?
Only those who have cleared the MH CET Law Exam 2026 are eligible to register for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). If you've cleared the exam and haven't registered yet, this extension is your window to act.
How to Register for MH CET Law Counselling 2026
The process is fairly simple once you have your documents ready. Here's what you need to do:
- Visit cetcell.mahacet.org
- Complete your registration by entering all the required details for counselling
- Upload your documents
- Fill in your college choices based on preference
- Pay the counselling fee
- Save and submit the online form
Take your time while filling in college preferences. This list often decides which college you land up in, so double check before you submit.
Documents You'll Need
Keep these ready before you start the form. Scrambling for a certificate halfway through the process only adds stress you don't need.
| Graduation Marksheet and Degree Certificate | Domicile Certificate (if applicable) | Valid Photo ID Proof |
| MH CET Law 2026 Score Card | Class 12 Marksheet and Certificate | Class 10 Marksheet and Certificate |
| Caste Certificate (for reserved categories) | EWS Certificate (if applicable) | Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable) |
| Passport-size Photograph | Migration Certificate (if required) | Signature Scan |
Scan copies should be clear and readable. Blurry uploads can cause delays or rejection during verification, so it helps to check each file before you attach it.
Why the Extension Matters
Deadline extensions usually happen when a good number of eligible candidates haven't registered yet. It gives everyone a fair chance to complete the process without rushing through document uploads or missing out due to last-minute technical issues on the portal.
If you're eligible and haven't filled the form, don't wait until July 12. Portals tend to slow down closer to the deadline when traffic spikes, and the last thing you want is a login error costing you a seat.
Keep checking the official website for further updates, since counselling schedules for law admissions in Maharashtra have seen changes before and could shift again depending on how registrations progress.
