The exam took place on 17 May 2026, with students appearing for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. The wait for results ended on 1 June 2026, when the official announcement came through.

Shubham Kumar didn't just top the exam. He did it with style, scoring 330 marks. When asked about his achievement, he shared his feelings with PTI Videos. "I had been preparing for JEE Advanced for the past two years, and I was hopeful that my hard work would help me secure a good rank. Now that I have secured All India Rank 1, I feel very happy," he said.
Right behind Shubham was Kabeer Chhillar, who secured the second rank with 329 marks. That's just one mark behind the topper. Jatin Chahar claimed the third position with 319 marks.
Female Toppers Shine Bright
Arohi Deshpande from IIT Delhi emerged as the female topper with a Common Rank List (CRL) rank of 77. She scored 280 out of 360 marks. Her achievement highlights the growing presence and success of female students in engineering entrance examinations.

What Makes JEE Advanced So Tough?
