The selected candidates may be posted at ISRO centres in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Sriharikota, Mahendragiri, Hassan and Valiamala.
Who can apply?
Applicants must hold the required engineering qualification in the discipline linked to the post. They must also have a valid GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 score in the relevant subject.
Candidates should read the official recruitment notice for the exact qualification rules and any other conditions. A degree in a related field may not be enough if it does not match the discipline stated in the notice. This is one place where guessing can turn a good application into a rejected one.
How will ISRO shortlist candidates?
ISRO will shortlist candidates for interviews in a 1:7 ratio. The shortlist will use the GATE score entered in the application form. It will not use GATE marks or GATE rank as the basis for shortlisting.
The organisation will verify the score details provided by each applicant. Candidates must enter the correct GATE year, paper and score. False or incorrect information may lead to action against the applicant.
The interview will test several areas, including:
- Technical knowledge
- Subject knowledge
- Presentation skills
- Communication skills
- Comprehension
- Academic performance
For Electronics, Mechanical and Computer Science posts, the final selection will carry equal weight for the GATE score and the interview. The GATE score will have 50% weightage, while the interview will have 50% weightage.
Unreserved category candidates must secure at least 60% in aggregate. The qualifying rules may be relaxed for reserved categories as per government rules and the recruitment notice.
