AC Team

The wait is over for thousands of students across Tamil Nadu. The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Class 10 results are now live. If you appeared for the exams held between March 11 and April 6, you can now access your marks.
The board has made the process simple. You can check your results in two ways. Pick whichever works best for you.
Checking Results Through the Official Website
The traditional method still works perfectly. Here's what you need to do:
First, open your browser and go to tnresults.nic.in. This is the official results portal for Tamil Nadu board exams.
Once the page loads, look for the link labeled 'TN SSLC Results 2026' on the homepage. Click it.
A login page will appear next. You'll need two pieces of information here: your registration number (also called hall ticket number) and your date of birth. Enter both carefully.
Hit the 'Submit and get results' button.
Your scorecard will pop up on the screen within seconds. Take a moment to review your marks across all subjects.
Don't forget to download the page. You should also print a copy of this provisional marksheet. Keep it safe until your official certificate arrives.
The WhatsApp Method
This is the newer option, and honestly, it's quite handy. The board introduced this to handle the rush of students trying to access results all at once. When websites crash due to heavy traffic, WhatsApp keeps working.
Here's how it works:
Save this number on your phone: 7845252525. This is the official number set up by the education board.
Open WhatsApp and find this contact. Send a simple 'Hi' message to start the conversation.
You'll receive automated options in response. Select 'Directorate of Government Examinations' from the menu.
Next, choose 'Class 10/SSLC' when asked which exam results you want.
The system will prompt you for your examination number and date of birth. Type them in exactly as they appear on your hall ticket.
Your complete result will appear right there in the chat window. No waiting, no page refreshes, no server errors.
You can screenshot this for your records. The information is just as valid as what you'd get from the website.
What Happens Next
The marksheet you download now is provisional. This means it's temporary but completely valid for immediate use. You can use it to apply for higher secondary admissions or show it to your parents (hopefully with a smile on your face).
Your school will distribute the official mark certificates later. These come with the board's seal and signature. Keep both the provisional and official copies in a safe place. You'll need them for future applications.
If Something Goes Wrong
Technology can be frustrating sometimes. If the website doesn't load, try the WhatsApp method instead. If WhatsApp doesn't respond immediately, wait a few minutes and try again.
Make sure you're entering your details correctly. A single wrong digit in your registration number will show an error. Double-check your hall ticket if you're unsure.
If you still face issues after multiple attempts, contact your school. They have direct access to results and can help you out.
The board has set up helplines too. Look for contact information on the official website if you need to speak with someone from the examination department.
A Word on Results Day
Results can feel overwhelming. Good or bad, remember that one exam doesn't define your future. If you did well, that's wonderful. Celebrate with your family, but stay grounded.
If the results aren't what you hoped for, take a breath. Many successful people stumbled during their school years. What matters is how you move forward from here. Talk to your teachers about improvement strategies if you're planning to repeat subjects.
For most of you heading to higher secondary education, this is just one milestone among many more to come. The real learning starts when you choose subjects you actually care about.
Whatever your result, download it today and keep a copy handy. You'll need it sooner than you think for the next step in your education path.
