The scores will be calculated based on the CUET final answer key 2026. NTA released the provisional answer key on June 9, 2026, and the challenge window closed on June 11, 2026. Now, the agency is reviewing the objections received and preparing the final answer key.

When Will CUET UG Result 2026 Be Declared?

CUET UG result 2026 is expected to release by the end of June 2026. NTA has not announced the official date yet, but considering the timeline of answer key release, students can expect their scorecards soon.

The final answer key will likely be released a day before the results. This means you can expect the final key in the last week of June 2026. Based on this key, your scores will be calculated.

What Happened with the CUET Answer Key 2026?

The CUET provisional answer key 2026 was released on June 9, just two days after the exam concluded. Students could challenge the provisional key till June 11, 2026, by paying INR 200 for each challenge.

Many students reported issues with the provisional answer key. Some candidates stated that their question IDs did not match the official answer key. NTA has asked students facing such issues to share their application numbers through Direct Message on X (formerly Twitter) or contact the NTA helpline desk.

These discrepancies have raised concerns that the result declaration might get delayed. However, NTA is working to resolve these issues and prepare an accurate final answer key.

Understanding CUET UG 2026 Cutoff and Scores

NTA does not release any official CUET UG cutoff. The cutoff marks vary from college to college and course to course. Each participating university releases its own cutoff based on the number of applicants, seats available, and course popularity.

A score of 450 out of 800 in CUET is considered average. Whether this score is good enough depends on the course you want to pursue and the college you are targeting.

For Delhi University, the expected cutoffs for popular courses are quite high. B.Com (Honours) might require 760 to 800 marks or more. B.A. (Honours) Economics could need around 740 to 780 marks. B.Sc (Honours) Computer Science might have a cutoff between 720 and 760 marks.

These are expected cutoffs based on previous year trends. The actual cutoffs will be released by individual universities after the CUET results are declared.

Can You Get Admission to Delhi University with 450 Marks?

Yes, you can get admission to Delhi University with 450 marks in CUET. Your chances depend on several factors:

  • The stream and course you have chosen
  • How popular or in demand that course is
  • Your category (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS)

For less competitive courses or programme courses (pass courses), 450 marks might be sufficient. However, for popular honours courses, you might need higher scores.

What Are the Expected High Scores for Different Subjects?

Different subjects in CUET have different expected high scores. Here are some examples:

Business Studies and Geography are expected to have perfect scores of 250. History and Political Science might see high scores around 249.6. Physics could have a high score of around 237, while Mathematics might reach 243.7.

English is expected to have a high score of about 241.96, while Hindi might reach 238.06. Computer Science could see scores around 239.5.

These high scores give you an idea of the competition level in each subject. They also help you understand how your scores compare with the top performers.

What Happens After CUET Results Are Declared?

Once NTA declares the CUET results, your scores will be shared with all the participating universities you selected during the application process. The role of NTA ends with the declaration of results.

After that, individual universities will start their admission process. They will release their cutoffs, open application windows, and conduct counselling rounds. You will need to participate in the counselling process of your chosen universities to secure admission.

Even if you are a class 12th board topper, you cannot get direct admission to central universities without participating in the CUET counselling process. Class 12th marks are mainly used as a tie-breaking criterion when two candidates have the same CUET scores.

Important Points to Remember

There are no minimum passing marks prescribed by NTA for CUET UG 2026. The qualifying marks depend on the university and course you are applying to.

Download and take a print of your CUET scorecard as soon as the results are declared. You will need this document during the admission process.

If you challenged the provisional answer key, you will not get a refund of the challenge fee even if your objection is valid. NTA will simply revise the answer key based on valid challenges.

Keep checking the official website cuet.nta.nic.in regularly for updates on the result declaration date. You can also check nta.ac.in for announcements.

The CUET UG 2026 result will mark the beginning of your admission journey to central universities across India. Make sure you are prepared with all necessary documents and information to make the most of your scores.
