CUET Result 2026: How to Download Your Scorecard and Check Final Answer Key

The wait is almost over for lakhs of students who appeared for CUET UG 2026. The National Testing Agency will announce the results anytime soon at the official website cuet.nta.nic.in. Your scores will determine your admission chances to various central universities across India.

The results will be calculated based on the final answer key, which NTA will release after reviewing all the objections submitted by candidates. The provisional answer key was released on June 9, 2026, and the challenge window closed on June 11, 2026.

When Will CUET Result 2026 Be Declared?

NTA has not announced an official date yet. However, based on the examination timeline and previous year patterns, the CUET UG result 2026 is expected to be released by the end of June 2026. The final answer key will be published a day before the results are declared.

You need to keep checking the official website regularly for updates. NTA usually uploads results without much advance notice, so staying alert is your best bet.

How to Download Your CUET Scorecard 2026

Downloading your CUET result is a simple process. Here are the steps you need to follow:

  • Visit the official website cuet.nta.nic.in
  • Look for the link that says 'CUET UG 2026 Result' and click on it
  • Enter your application number
  • Type in your password
  • Fill in the captcha code shown on the screen
  • Click on the submit button
  • Your scorecard will appear on the screen as a PDF file
  • Download the scorecard and take a printout for future reference

Keep multiple copies of your scorecard safe. You will need them during the counselling process and admission procedures at various universities.

Understanding the CUET Final Answer Key

The final answer key is the document that NTA uses to calculate your scores. After the provisional answer key was released, students had the chance to challenge answers they believed were incorrect. Each challenge required a payment of Rs. 200.

NTA reviews all valid objections and prepares the final answer key. If a question is found to have errors or multiple correct answers, NTA makes the necessary corrections. However, students do not get refunds even if their challenges are valid.

Many students have reported discrepancies in the provisional answer key this year. Some candidates found that their question IDs did not match the official answer key. NTA has asked such students to share their application numbers through direct message on X (formerly Twitter) or contact the helpline desk.

What Makes a Good CUET Score?

There is no fixed passing mark in CUET. What counts as a good score depends entirely on the course and college you want to get into. A score of 450 out of 800 is considered average, but it can still get you admission to Delhi University in certain courses.

Your chances depend on several factors: the stream you choose, the popularity of the course, and your category. For example, getting into B.Com (Hons) at a top DU college might require a score above 760, while a B.A. Programme course might accept scores around 600.

Expected Delhi University Cutoff for CUET 2026

Based on previous year trends, here are the expected CUET scores you might need for popular DU courses:

For B.Com (Hons), you should aim for 760 to 800 marks. Economics Honours typically requires 740 to 780 marks. Popular humanities courses like Political Science or Psychology Honours need around 730 to 770 marks. Computer Science and other top science honours programmes usually have cutoffs between 720 and 760 marks.

Other science honours courses might accept scores from 650 to 720. Programme courses (B.A., B.Sc, B.Com) generally have cutoffs ranging from 600 to 680 marks.

Remember, these are estimates. The actual cutoffs are released by individual universities, not by NTA. Each college sets its own cutoff based on the number of applicants and available seats.

What Happens After Results Are Declared?

Once NTA declares the results, the scores are shared with all participating universities. The role of NTA ends at this point. Each university then starts its own admission process and releases course-wise and category-wise cutoffs.

You will need to participate in the counselling process of universities where you want admission. Being a board topper does not give you direct admission. Everyone must go through the same counselling process. Class 12 marks are usually used only as a tiebreaker when two students have the same CUET score.

Common Issues Students Face

This year, several students have flagged issues with the provisional answer key. The main complaint is that question IDs in their response sheets do not match the official answer key. This is a serious concern because it can affect score calculations.

If you face similar issues, contact NTA immediately. You can reach them through their official social media handles or call their helpline. Document everything with screenshots as proof.

What to Do While Waiting for Results

Instead of just waiting, use this time productively. Research the colleges you want to apply to. Check their previous year cutoffs and admission procedures. Download and read the admission guides available on various educational websites.

Prepare your documents. You will need your class 10 and 12 mark sheets, category certificate (if applicable), transfer certificate, character certificate, and passport-size photographs. Getting these ready now will save you time during the admission rush.

Also, have backup options ready. Not everyone gets their first choice. Know which other colleges and courses you would be happy with. Having a plan B and plan C reduces stress later.

Official Websites to Check

You can download your CUET result from two official websites: cuet.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in. Both websites will host the results. If one is slow due to heavy traffic, try the other.

Bookmark these websites now so you can access them quickly when results are announced. Avoid using third-party websites that claim to show results, as they might be unreliable or unsafe.

The coming days are important. Keep your login credentials ready, stay updated through official channels, and prepare for the next steps in your admission journey. Good luck with your results.
