CBSE Class 12 supplementary result 2026 will be released soon by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The board has not announced the exact result date and time yet. Students who appeared for the exam can check their results online at cbseresults.nic.in.

The CBSE Class 12 supplementary exam was held on July 28, 2026, in a single-day session. More than one lakh students appeared for the exam. The test gave students a chance to clear a subject after the main board examination. A second chance can feel stressful, but it can also help keep college plans on track.

As per the latest update on August 11, the CBSE 12th supplementary result is expected soon. The result link will be activated on the official result website after the board makes the announcement.

Details required to check the result

Keep the following details ready before opening the result page:

  • Roll number
  • School number
  • Admit card ID
  • Date of birth

These details are printed on the admit card. Students should enter them as shown on the document. One wrong digit can send the result page on a small holiday.

How to check CBSE Class 12 supplementary result 2026

  1. Visit cbseresults.nic.in.
  2. Open the link for the CBSE Class 12 supplementary or compartment result 2026.
  3. Enter your roll number, school number, admit card ID and date of birth.
  4. Click the submit or view result button.
  5. Check the marks and result status shown on the screen.
  6. Download the result and save a clear copy for future use.

The online result is provisional. Students must collect the original marksheet from their school when CBSE issues it.

Other ways to access the result

Through DigiLocker

Students can also look for the digital marksheet on DigiLocker. Log in to the app, open the document section and select CBSE from the list of education boards. Choose the Class 12 marksheet option and enter the required details. If Aadhaar is not linked to the account, the app may ask the student to sync it before fetching the document.

Through the UMANG app

  1. Download and open the UMANG app.
  2. Register with a mobile number.
  3. Search for CBSE on the home page.
  4. Select the Results service and choose Class 12.
  5. Enter the roll number, school number, centre number and date of birth.
  6. Tap on “Get Result” to view the marksheet.
  7. Save the file or take a printout.

Through SMS

Students may check the result through SMS if the service is enabled by CBSE. The format provided for the result is:

CBSE12 roll number date of birth school number centre number

Send the message to 7738299899. The date of birth should be entered in the DDMMYYYY format. The reply should include subject-wise marks.

Details mentioned on the marksheet

The CBSE supplementary result may include:

  • Student’s name
  • Roll number
  • Parents’ names
  • Date of birth
  • Subject names and codes
  • Theory and practical marks
  • Total marks
  • Grade
  • Result status

CBSE Class 12 passing marks

Students must score at least 33% in both theory and practical examinations, where practical marks apply. The result will show whether the student has passed the supplementary examination.

After the result, students who qualify can collect their original documents from school and apply for undergraduate or professional courses. College admission rules differ, so check the official website of each college for deadlines, entrance tests and document requirements. Students planning to apply to Delhi University should also check the current CUET and admission rules.

What to do if the result page does not open

  • Check that you are using the official CBSE result website.
  • Enter each detail from the admit card without extra spaces.
  • Try again after a few minutes if the website has heavy traffic.
  • Use DigiLocker, UMANG or SMS if those services are available.
  • Contact your school if the details do not match the admit card.
