CBSE 10th Second Board Result 2026: How to Check and Download Your Marks

The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to announce the CBSE 10th second board result 2026 today. Students who appeared for the second phase exams from May 15 to 21 can check their results at cbseresults.nic.in. The result will be available through multiple channels including the official website, DigiLocker, SMS, and IVRS.

When Will the Result Be Announced?

The CBSE 10th second board result 2026 is expected to be released by 3 pm today. The board conducted the second phase exams to align with the National Education Policy 2020. This approach reduces the pressure of a single annual exam and gives students an opportunity to improve their scores.

The board will provide one single marksheet to students. The marks from both exam phases will appear on the same marksheet. The board will compare scores from Phase 1 and Phase 2 and retain the higher score in each subject for the final marksheet.

How to Check CBSE 10th Second Board Result Online

Follow these steps to check your result on the official website:

  • Visit the board's website at cbseresults.nic.in
  • Click on the 'CBSE 10th second term result 2026' link
  • Enter your roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth
  • Submit the details
  • Your CBSE Class 10 result will appear on the screen
  • Download and save the result for future reference

Keep your admit card ready before you begin. The admit card ID is mandatory along with your roll number and date of birth. Missing this information will block result retrieval.

How to Download Result Through DigiLocker

DigiLocker offers a convenient way to access your result. Here's how to use it:

  • Visit the DigiLocker portal or open the DigiLocker app
  • Sign in using your Aadhaar credentials
  • Go to the 'Education' or 'Search' section
  • Select 'Marksheet'
  • Enter your school code and roll number
  • Input the six-digit PIN supplied by your school
  • Download the provisional result marksheet

Your school will send the DigiLocker PIN to your registered mobile number via SMS. The credentials will help you log in and retrieve your marksheet.

Check Result Through SMS

If you prefer checking your result via SMS, send a message to 7738299899 in this format: CBSE10, Roll No., DOB, school number, centre number. You will receive your provisional CBSE 10th result instantly on your phone.

Check Result Through IVRS

You can also check your result through IVRS by dialing 24300699 if you are in Delhi or 011-24300699 from other locations. Follow the operator's prompts and provide your roll number and date of birth to hear your provisional result. This method works without needing internet access.

Check Result Through Umang App

The Umang app provides another option to access your result:

  • Log into the Umang app with your mobile number
  • Search for 'CBSE'
  • Tap the Education category
  • Choose the CBSE board
  • Select '10th result'
  • Enter your roll number, date of birth, and school code

Important Points to Remember

The online result you see on the portal is provisional. You need to collect your official marksheet from your school for final verification. The board sends physical marksheets to schools, which then distribute them to students.

The board does not release cut off marks for Class 10 exams. No category-wise or overall cut off numbers are available with the result announcement.

The board will also publish a complete topper list once results go live. This list will include scores for each state and region. Details of top rank holders, including names and percentages, will be disclosed after the result upload on the official portal.

What About Answer Keys?

The Central Board of Secondary Education does not publish an official answer key for Class 10 exams. However, coaching institutes release answer keys in PDF format. Students can download these PDFs to verify their responses and estimate scores.

By cross-checking each answer with the PDF key, students can tally correct responses and compute a probable score before the official result is declared. The answer key is provided as a PDF document showing the correct option for every question across all subjects.

Since the answer key is not an official CBSE document, candidates cannot formally challenge its content. They should rely on it only for personal score checks.

What to Do After Result Announcement

After the CBSE 10th result is announced, download your provisional marksheet from any of the available channels. You can obtain the same from DigiLocker as well. Students need to select streams for Class 11 based on their interests and scores.

If you are not satisfied with your marks, you can apply for re-evaluation. Students who fail in any subject need not worry. They can appear for the supplementary exam which will be held in July. The CBSE 10th supplementary result will be out in August.

The CBSE Class 10 scorecard carries subject-wise marks, total percentage, name, roll number, date of birth, and subject codes. Verify all details on your marksheet carefully when you receive it from your school.

Details Required to Check Result

Make sure you have these details ready before checking your result:

  • Roll number
  • School number
  • Admit card ID
  • Date of birth
  • Centre number (for SMS method)

The portal validates these fields before allowing you to view, save, or print the provisional scorecard. Enter the login details correctly to avoid any issues while accessing your result.

You will not get a notification when the CBSE 10th result is released. The result is announced online and students need to check it by logging in with the required credentials. The CBSE will not email the result either. The only download options are the official portal, DigiLocker, SMS, IVRS, Parinam Manjusha, and the Umang app.
