If you are one of the six lakh students who sat for the CBSE Class 10 second board exam this year, you already know the feeling. That mix of hope and nervous energy while you wait for one webpage to load. Good news: the wait is almost over.
The Central Board of Secondary Education conducted the Phase 2 exams from May 15 to 21, 2026. The result is expected to drop anytime soon on the official CBSE websites. Here is everything you need to know to check your score the moment it goes live.
Where to Check Your Result
CBSE will release the result on two main websites:
- cbse.gov.in
- cbseresults.nic.in
Keep both tabs open on exam result day. Government websites tend to slow down when lakhs of students log in at once, so having a backup link saves you from staring at a loading icon.
Steps to Download Your CBSE 10th Result 2026
- Visit the official CBSE result website
- Click on the 'Results' tab
- Select CBSE 10th Second Board Exam Result 2026
- Enter your roll number, school number, admit card ID and date of birth
- Your result will appear on the screen
- Take a printout for your records
Remember, this online marksheet is provisional. Your school will hand you the original marksheet later, so do not throw away your admit card just yet.
Other Ways to Check Your Result
Not everyone has smooth internet on result day. CBSE has a few backup options that work just as well.
Through DigiLocker
You will get a one-time SMS with a six-digit PIN. Enter your class, school code and roll number, then key in the PIN to download your result sheet directly.
Through the Umang App
Open the Umang app, search for 'CBSE', select Education, tap on the 10th result option, then enter your roll number, year, class and admit card ID. Hit submit and your result shows up.
Through SMS
Send an SMS in the prescribed format to 7738299899 from your registered mobile number. The board sends your marks back once results are announced.
Through IVRS
Prefer a phone call? Dial 011-24300699 (or 24300699 for Delhi users) and follow the voice prompts. You will need to share your roll number and date of birth to hear your result.
What Counts as a Good Score?
Everyone asks this, so let's settle it. A score between 80 and 85 percent is generally considered good. Anything above 90 percent is excellent. That said, a number on a marksheet does not decide your future. It is just one data point among many.
Will You Get a Notification?
No. CBSE does not send personal alerts when the result goes live. You need to check the portal yourself using your login details. So set a reminder, bookmark the page, and check back regularly on result day.
Choosing Your Stream After Class 10
Once the result is out, the bigger question begins: Science, Commerce, or Humanities? This decision often feels bigger than the board exam itself. Take your time, talk to teachers and family, but also trust your own interest. A stream chosen out of pressure rarely feels right after a few months.
Whatever your score turns out to be, remember that Class 10 is just one chapter. Keep your admit card safe, keep checking the official websites, and get ready for the next step in your academic journey.
