AC Team

BITS Pilani has released the BITSAT 2026 Iteration II results on July 1. Students who participated in the counselling process can now check their seat allotment status online. The results determine whether candidates have received admission to their preferred programme and campus or remain on the waiting list.
How to Check Your BITSAT Iteration II Result
The process to check your allotment is simple. Visit the official BITS admission portal at bitspilaniedu.com/FD2026/Bits/Default.aspx and click on the Iteration Result link. You will need to enter fresh login credentials that were sent to your registered email ID. These credentials are different from your regular BITSAT login details.
After logging in, your allotment status will appear on the screen. Make sure to download and save the result for future reference. The allotment document contains important details like your name, application number, admission status, and instructions for fee payment.
Who Can Check the Iteration Result
Only specific candidates are eligible to check the Iteration II results. You must have submitted the First Degree Preference Form and completed the required fee payment. Additionally, if you participated in round one counselling and were placed on the waiting list, you can check your updated status. Candidates who opted to participate in further rounds are also eligible.
Understanding BITSAT Cutoffs
The Iteration II cutoffs have seen a notable drop compared to the first round. For BITS Pilani campus, Computer Science had the highest cutoff at 304 marks in the previous year, while BPharm had the lowest at 168 marks. Other popular branches like Electronics and Communication stood at 285 marks, and Mathematics and Computing at 295 marks.
Mechanical Engineering required 235 marks, while Electrical and Electronics stood at 260 marks. Civil Engineering had a cutoff of 206 marks. For MSc programmes, Economics topped the list at 251 marks, followed by Semiconductor and Nanoscience at 239 marks.
The drop in cutoffs during Iteration II can be attributed to multiple factors. Many students receive offers from other institutions through JoSAA counselling and state-level admission processes running simultaneously. This creates seat vacancies at BITS campuses, allowing students with lower scores to secure admission.
Fee Payment Guidelines You Should Know
If you have been allotted a seat, completing the fee payment is critical. The deadline for Iteration II fee payment is July 8, 2026. Missing this deadline will result in automatic cancellation of your allotted seat, and you will lose the opportunity to join that programme.
After paying the fee, you remain eligible for upward movement in subsequent iterations. This means if a higher preference programme becomes available in later rounds, you can still get upgraded to that branch.
What Happens in Future Iterations
The BITSAT admission process includes multiple iterations to ensure all available seats are filled. Iteration III is scheduled for July 14, followed by Iteration IV on July 22. Further rounds will take place on August 1, August 10, and August 18 if required.
Each iteration brings new opportunities. Students who did not receive their preferred branch in earlier rounds often get upgraded in later iterations. The process is transparent and merit-based, ensuring fair allocation of seats across all three BITS campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad.
Cutoffs are expected to drop further in Iteration III. Given the significant decrease observed in Iteration II, candidates with scores slightly below the current cutoffs should remain hopeful for the next round.
Programmes Offered Across BITS Campuses
BITS Pilani campus offers the widest range of programmes including Chemical, Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Communication, Manufacturing, and Mathematics and Computing. It also offers MSc programmes in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, and General Studies.
BITS Goa provides most engineering branches except Civil and Manufacturing. The campus offers strong programmes in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, and Mathematics and Computing along with various MSc options.
BITS Hyderabad offers programmes similar to Goa but includes Civil Engineering and excludes Electronics and Communication. All three campuses maintain high academic standards and provide excellent placement opportunities.
Financial Support Available
BITS Pilani offers substantial financial assistance to deserving students. Last year, the institute distributed Rs 132 crore through merit-based and merit-cum-need financial aid programmes. Nearly 25% of students across all BITS campuses received some form of financial support.
A new scholarship scheme launched for 2026 admission offers tuition-blind admissions to top performers. Students who rank within the top 500 in BITSAT 2026 and come from families with annual income up to Rs 20 lakh will receive complete tuition fee waiver for the entire four-year programme.
Refund Policy Details
Understanding the refund policy is important before accepting an admission offer. BITS Pilani has clear guidelines about fee refunds based on when a student decides to withdraw. The refund amount varies depending on the timing of withdrawal.
Students should carefully consider their preferences and backup options before accepting an offer. If you have applications pending at other institutions, evaluate all options before making a final decision.
Tips for Waitlisted Candidates
Being on the waiting list does not mean the end of your admission chances. Many students on the waitlist eventually receive seat allotments in subsequent iterations. The key is to remain patient and participate in all upcoming rounds.
Keep track of all iteration dates and ensure your preference form is submitted correctly. Any errors in your preference list could affect your chances of getting your desired branch or campus.
Monitor your email regularly for updates from BITS Pilani. Important communications about fee payments, document verification, and reporting dates will be sent to your registered email address.
Eligibility Requirements to Remember
Meeting the BITSAT score requirement is not enough for admission. You must also fulfil the academic eligibility criteria. For BE programmes, candidates need a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12. Additionally, you need at least 60% marks individually in each of these three subjects.
These eligibility requirements are mandatory regardless of how high your BITSAT score is. Make sure you have the required marks before participating in the counselling process.
Next Steps After Seat Allotment
Once you receive a seat allotment, you need to complete the admission confirmation process. This includes paying the advance fee, uploading required documents, and preparing for physical reporting to your allotted campus.
Document verification is a critical step. Keep your Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, transfer certificate, migration certificate, category certificate (if applicable), and identity proof ready. Having all documents prepared in advance will make the admission process smooth.
Physical reporting dates will be communicated separately. You will need to visit your allotted campus to complete final admission formalities and begin your academic journey at BITS.
