Details of the written examination
More than 11 lakh candidates applied for this recruitment. CSBC received 11,43,855 applications. After document checks and the removal of invalid applications, 11,04,473 candidates were found eligible.
About 5,34,735 candidates appeared for the written exam. The test took place in two shifts at 544 centres across all 38 districts of Bihar. The board removed 80 candidates from the recruitment process for misconduct and indiscipline during the examination.
Under the selection rules, candidates needed at least 30 per cent marks in the written test to qualify for the next stage. Candidates who scored the prescribed cut-off marks have also been included in the shortlist.
What happens after the written result?
The next stage includes the Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test. The PET checks a candidate's physical fitness through events such as running, high jump and shot put. The PST checks physical measurements as set by the recruitment rules.
Being named in the written exam result does not mean final selection. Candidates must meet the PET and PST requirements and complete other stages of the recruitment process. The board will provide details about the test schedule, venue, reporting time and required documents through its official notices.
Documents and preparations for PET and PST
Shortlisted candidates should read the next CSBC notice with care. They may need to carry the following items:
- Printed copy of the admit card
- Result or shortlist copy
- Valid photo identity proof
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Original education and category certificates
- Any other document listed in the official notice
Start preparing for the physical tests early. Build a steady running routine, warm up before exercise and take rest when needed. Candidates should also check the required height, chest and other physical standards before appearing for the PST. A good pair of shoes helps, but it cannot run the race for you.
