RICE Education IAS Kolkata, established with the vision of Shri Sachis Kiran Roy, is a premier institution dedicated to providing top-notch education and training for competitive exams. Shri Roy's dream was to create a pioneering institution in the field of practical training and education, and his vision was realized through the establishment of RICE Education. Today, under the leadership of Professor Samit Ray, RICE Education has grown from a modest training institute into a national leader in preparing students for government and other competitive examinations.

Our History and Leadership

Professor Samit Ray, an education entrepreneur of Eastern India, is the visionary founder and driving force behind RICE Education. Prof. Ray started his career as a software professional in the '80s and quickly realized the need for quality preparatory training for competitive examinations in West Bengal. In 1985, he established RICE Education with a single classroom and a handful of students in the northern fringes of Kolkata. Over the years, RICE has trained nearly 150,000 successful students who have secured government jobs in various sectors.

Prof. Ray's commitment to education is further exemplified by his establishment of Adamas International School in 2004, where he pioneered the idea of 'day boarding' alongside a day school. Later, he founded Adamas Knowledge City at Barasat, which houses Adamas University, Adamas World School, and Adamas Institute of Professional Studies. Prof. Ray serves as the Chancellor of Adamas University and is also the founder of two charitable trusts – the Sachis Kiran Memorial Trust, named after his late father, and the Samit Ray Foundation.

Under Prof. Ray's leadership, RICE Education has achieved significant milestones and garnered numerous national and international awards. His vision and dedication continue to inspire millions of students in Eastern India and beyond.

Chairman’s Message
