Who Can Apply for West Bengal NEET Counselling?

To take part in WBMCC NEET UG counselling, candidates must meet these basic conditions:

  • They must qualify NEET UG 2026.
  • They must pass Class 12 or an equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English.
  • They must meet the NEET qualifying percentile for their category.
  • They must meet the domicile rules for West Bengal State Quota seats.
  • They must meet any extra rules set by WBMCC for the selected seat type.

About 85% of seats in government, private and dental colleges are filled through the state counselling process. Domicile rules vary by category, so candidates should read the official information bulletin before applying.

How to Register for WBMCC NEET UG Counselling 2026

  1. Visit wbmcc.nic.in.
  2. Open the UG Medical Counselling section.
  3. Click on New Registration.
  4. Enter your NEET roll number, application number and date of birth.
  5. Fill in personal, academic, category and NEET score details.
  6. Select the correct domicile type.
  7. Upload scanned documents in the required format.
  8. Pay the counselling fee online.
  9. Download and print the confirmation page and payment receipt.

Check every entry before submitting the form. A small typing error in a name, date of birth or category can create a large problem later.

Documents Required for Verification

Candidates must carry original documents and self-attested copies for physical verification. The usual document list includes:

  • NEET UG 2026 admit card and rank card
  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
  • West Bengal domicile certificate or the relevant A1, A2 or B proforma
  • Caste certificate, if applicable
  • Valid photo ID such as Aadhaar, voter ID or passport
  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • WBMCC registration confirmation page and payment receipt

After verification, candidates must download the final verification slip. Keep it safe because the allotted college may ask for it during reporting.

Important Instructions for PwD Candidates

PwD candidates must attend physical verification at the designated centre with original certificates. The disability certificate must be issued by the IPGMER Kolkata medical board. Candidates should carry the certificate, NEET admit card, Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, recent photographs and a valid photo ID.

Only candidates who complete verification can take part in the next counselling steps. After seat allotment, they must report to the allotted college within the given deadline. Failure to report may lead to cancellation of the seat.

What Happens After Seat Allotment?

WBMCC will publish an allotment list for each round. It may show the candidate’s NEET All India Rank, choice number, college, course, category and allotment status. Candidates who receive a seat must follow the reporting instructions and submit the required documents at the college.

Keep checking the WBMCC website for the registration notice, seat matrix, fee details, verification centre list and revised dates. Use only the official portal for payment and form submission.
