UPTET Result 2026: Check Scorecard, Qualifying Marks and Download Steps

UPTET Result 2026 is expected to be released soon on the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, upessc.up.gov.in. Candidates who appeared for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test can use the online result link to view and download their scorecard.

When was the UPTET 2026 exam held?

UPTET 2026 was held from 2 July to 4 July 2026. The exam took place in offline mode across all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. More than 17.7 lakh candidates are reported to have taken the exam.

The provisional answer key was released on 8 July 2026. Candidates could raise objections against the answers until 14 July 2026. UPTET qualifying marks

Paper 1 and Paper 2: Know the difference

Paper 1 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 5. Paper 2 is for candidates who want to teach Classes 6 to 8. Candidates who want eligibility for both levels need to appear for both papers.

If you took both papers, check the marks and qualifying status for each paper. Passing one paper does not mean that you have qualified in the other. The scorecard should make this clear.

Is the UPTET certificate valid for life?

The UPTET certificate has been given lifetime validity. Candidates do not need to retake the TET only because the certificate has expired. However, they must meet the rules of each future teacher recruitment process.

Passing UPTET does not provide a government teaching job. It gives candidates eligibility to apply for suitable teacher recruitment. Each recruitment may have its own rules for educational qualifications, age limit, subject requirements, written tests and document verification.
