Steps to Download Your Marksheet
Checking your result takes less time than deciding what to eat for breakfast. Here is how you do it:
- Visit tnresults.nic.in or dge.tn.gov.in
- Click on the TN SSLC or HSE Supplementary Result 2026 link
- Enter your registration number and date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format
- Click submit or get marks
- Your result will appear on screen
- Download the provisional marksheet and save a copy
Remember, this online copy is provisional. You still need to collect the original marksheet from your school once the results are out.

What Your Marksheet Will Show
Your scorecard is not just a number. It carries several details, so check each one carefully:
- Candidate's name
- Registration number
- Date of birth
- School name
- Subject-wise marks (internal, practical, theory)
- Total marks and grade
- Result status (pass or fail)
Passing Marks You Need to Know
To clear the exam, you need at least 35 marks out of 100 in each subject. For subjects with practicals, you need a minimum of 15 marks in theory, along with a combined total of 35 marks. Practical attendance is compulsory, though there is no separate minimum mark for it.

If You Don't Clear the Exam
Not passing does not mean the story ends here. Class 10 students who fail will not move to Class 11 automatically. They can appear for the next supplementary or regular exam, or re-enrol in the subjects they did not clear. Students can also register as private candidates and take up skill development or certificate courses while they prepare for another attempt. Not Happy With Your Marks?
If your score feels off, you can apply for re-evaluation as per DGE guidelines. Submit the prescribed form within the deadline and pay the fee. Only an increase in marks, if any, gets reflected in your final scorecard. So there is no risk in applying, only the chance of a pleasant surprise.
After You Download the Result
Once your result is out, check every detail on the marksheet twice. Names get misspelled, marks get mistyped, it happens more often than you would expect. If you spot an error, contact your school or the DGE right away instead of sitting on it. Once everything checks out, collect your original marksheet from school before you move ahead with admissions or counselling.
