What the Answer Key Shows

The response sheet shows the questions asked in your exam and the answers marked by you. The official answer key shows the correct answers. Compare both documents to count your correct and wrong answers.

CBT-II has 120 questions, with one mark for each question. The paper includes:

  • General Awareness: 50 questions
  • Mathematics: 35 questions
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning: 35 questions

The exam duration is 90 minutes. RRB deducts one-third mark for each wrong answer. Questions left unanswered do not carry a penalty.

How to Calculate Your Expected Score

Use this simple method:

Expected score = Marks for correct answers minus marks for wrong answers

For example, if you answer 80 questions correctly and 20 questions incorrectly, your expected score will be:

80 - (20 × 1/3) = 73.33 marks

This score is only an estimate. The final marks may change after RRB reviews objections and applies the official scoring process. Your score must also be checked against the cut-off for your RRB, category and post.

Answer Key Objection Process

If you find an incorrect answer or a problem with a question, check the official notice for the objection link and fee. RRB may allow candidates to challenge provisional answers during the given window.

Before submitting an objection, read the question and official explanation with care. Add a clear reason and upload supporting proof if the portal asks for it. Submit only valid objections, as the fee and rules depend on the official notice. The objection window listed for this recruitment is 15 to 22 July 2026.
