RRB Group D Answer Key 2026: Check Response Sheet and Raise Objections

If you appeared for the RRB Group D exam held from 3 to 25 August 2026, it is time to check your answers. The Railway Recruitment Board has released the provisional answer key and response sheet for CEN 09/2025 Level 1 posts.

The objection window is open from 7 September to 15 September 2026. This is the stage where you can report a wrong answer before the board prepares the final answer key. Keep your login details ready, because the window will not stay open forever.

What has RRB released?

RRB has made two important documents available on its regional websites:

  • Provisional answer key: The answers that RRB considers correct.
  • Response sheet: The answers marked by you during the computer-based test.

Compare both documents question by question. If you find an answer that seems incorrect, you can submit an objection with a valid reason and supporting proof.

RRB Group D answer key objection date

The last date to submit objections is 15 September 2026. The objection window opened on 7 September 2026. Once the window closes, RRB will review the objections and prepare the final answer key.

Do not wait for the final day. Websites can slow down, payment issues can appear, and your internet connection may choose that exact moment to take a holiday.

How to check the answer key and response sheet

  1. Visit the official website of the RRB region from which you applied.
  2. Open the link for the CEN 09/2025 Level 1 answer key.
  3. Log in with your registration number and date of birth or password.
  4. View your response sheet and compare it with the provisional answer key.
  5. Download and save a copy of the response sheet for your records.
  6. Note the question numbers where you want to raise an objection.

Use only the official RRB website or your regional RRB portal. Avoid links shared through unknown social media accounts, as they may lead to fake login pages.

Objection fee and refund rule

RRB charges ₹50 for each question challenged. The fee is refundable if the board accepts your objection and changes the answer. If the board rejects the objection, the fee will not be refunded.

Raise an objection only when you have a strong reason. Check a trusted textbook, government source, standard reference book, or official document before submitting it. Filing objections for every answer that looks doubtful can increase your cost without improving your score.

RRB Group D salary and pay level

RRB Group D posts include Track Maintainer, Pointsman, Helper and Assistant roles. These jobs fall under Pay Matrix Level 1 of the 7th Pay Commission.

Salary component Approximate amount
Basic pay ₹18,000
Dearness Allowance at 60% ₹10,800
House Rent Allowance in a metro city ₹5,400
Transport allowance with DA About ₹2,160
Approximate metro gross salary About ₹36,400

In smaller cities, the gross monthly salary may be around ₹31,500 to ₹35,500. The in-hand salary will be lower after NPS, tax, and other deductions. The figures use the notified 60% DA rate. A new DA rate for July 2026 had not been officially notified at the time of this update.

What happens after the objection window?

After 15 September, RRB will examine the objections and release the final answer key. The board will then prepare the result. Since the exam was held in several shifts, RRB may use normalisation to compare scores across shifts.

Candidates who meet the required cut-off may be called for the Physical Efficiency Test, followed by document verification and the medical process. RRB will publish the dates and instructions on its regional websites.
