Understanding MET 2026 Cutoff

MAHE has released the cutoff marks along with the seat allotment. The cutoff helps you understand the minimum rank required for admission to different BTech courses across participating campuses.

Several factors influence the cutoff:

  • Previous years' cutoff trends
  • Difficulty level of the exam
  • Number of students who qualified
  • Total number of available seats
  • Number of applicants for each course

You can download the official cutoff PDF from the counselling portal.

Which Campuses Accept MET Scores

MET scores are accepted at four campuses for BTech admissions:

  • Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal
  • Manipal University, Jaipur
  • Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim
  • MIT, Bengaluru

Documents You Need for Verification

Keep these documents ready for the verification process:

  • Printout of filled Common Registration Form from the counselling portal
  • MET 2026 Hall Ticket
  • Class 10th marksheet (for date of birth proof)
  • Class 12th marksheet from a recognised board
  • Parent or Guardian's PAN Card
  • Two recent passport-size photographs
  • Authorization letter (if someone is attending on your behalf)
  • Copy of OCI/PIO Card (if applicable)

What About Round 2 Counselling

If you are not satisfied with your Round 1 allotment or did not get a seat, you can participate in Round 2. Fresh registrations for Round 2 will open from 17 to 18 June 2026. The Round 2 allotment will be announced on 20 June 2026.

Even if you are already registered, you can modify your choices in the next round.

How Is Merit Calculated

MAHE considers both your MET exam scores and Class 12th marks for preparing the merit list. Both components are given equal weightage (50:50). This means your board exam performance matters as much as your entrance test score.

You must have at least 50 percent marks in your 12th standard examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and one optional subject.

Can You Use JEE Main Scores

Yes, MAHE accepts JEE Main scores for Manipal admissions. If you gave JEE Main, you could have registered separately for admission using those scores.

MET Counselling Fee Details

The MET counselling fee is INR 10,000. You can pay this online through net banking, credit card, or debit card. If you get selected for admission, this fee will be adjusted against your tuition fee. If you do not get admission, you can apply for a refund.

Common Questions Students Ask

If you attempted both sessions, your best score will be considered for admission.
