Maharashtra has revised the NEET UG CAP Round 1 schedule for MBBS and BDS admissions, including registration, documents, choice filling, allotment and joining dates.
AC Team

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has revised the NEET UG CAP Round 1 counselling schedule 2026 for MBBS and BDS admissions. The change follows the extension of the All India Quota counselling schedule by the Medical Counselling Committee, or MCC.
The revised notice was issued on August 19, 2026. It covers registration, fee payment, document upload, merit lists, choice filling, seat allotment and physical joining at the allotted college.
Who should check the revised schedule?
The schedule applies to candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Maharashtra for the 2026-27 academic year. Students who appeared in the provisional merit list dated August 18 should check their details and use the correct grievance window.
Candidates who already had a chance to submit a grievance between August 19 and August 20 cannot submit another grievance later. This makes it important to check names, marks, category details and other information before the deadline. The counselling calendar is not the place for a last-minute treasure hunt.

Registration and fee payment window
Candidates who did not register under the earlier notices can complete online registration and apply for MBBS or BDS courses from August 20 at 8 pm to August 21 at 8 pm.
Students who registered earlier but have not paid the application fee must also pay it within this period. An incomplete application may not move forward in the counselling process, so candidates should save the payment receipt and application form.
Document upload deadline
The CET Cell has opened the facility to upload coloured scanned copies of all required original documents. Candidates must upload and submit the documents by August 21 at 11:59 pm.
Failure to submit the documents within the deadline can lead to exclusion from the admission process. It can also affect consideration under the category claimed by the candidate.
Before uploading, check that each scan is clear, complete and readable. Keep the original documents ready as well, since they will be checked when the candidate joins the allotted college.
Grievance rules for candidates
Candidates included in the provisional merit list published on August 18 could submit grievances from August 19 to August 20, till 5 pm. They cannot raise another grievance during the later window.
Newly registered candidates and candidates who newly upload and submit all required documents can submit grievances on August 24, till 5 pm. The grievance should be filed only after checking the details shown in the revised provisional merit list.
Use the applicable window and keep proof of the grievance submission. A screenshot or acknowledgement can help if a technical issue appears later.
Choice filling and seat allotment
The final merit list and seat matrix will be published on August 25. Candidates can then fill their college and course preferences from August 26 to August 29, till 5:30 pm.
Choices should be entered with care. Candidates should review the order of preferences before locking or submitting them. The CAP Round 1 seat allotment result will be released on August 30.
Students allotted an MBBS or BDS seat must report for physical joining between August 31 and September 4, till 5:30 pm. They must carry their original documents and pay the prescribed college fees during the joining process.
