KCET 2026 Round 2 Provisional Allotment: Objection Deadline and Next Steps

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the KCET 2026 second round provisional seat allotment results for several undergraduate courses. The allotment was published on August 23, 2026. Candidates can now check their provisional seat details on the official KEA website.

KEA has also released the first-round provisional allotment for UGNEET 2026 candidates seeking admission to medical and dental courses.

KCET 2026 objection deadline

Candidates who find an error in their provisional allotment can send an objection to KEA by email. The objection must reach keauthority-ka@nic.in by 4 pm on August 24, 2026.

Each objection should include a clear reason and supporting details. Candidates should mention their name, application number, course, rank and the issue they want KEA to review. Attach relevant documents when needed. A short and clear email can help the authority understand the concern faster.

What objections will KEA consider?

KEA has said that candidates can raise objections about issues such as:

Cutoff-related concerns
Errors in the provisional allotment
A seat not being allotted even though the candidate entered the option
Other issues linked to the published allotment result

However, candidates cannot raise an objection for a seat they did not receive because they failed to enter that college or course in their option list. KEA will also not allow candidates to change their options at this stage. In simple terms, this is a review window, not a second chance to edit the preference list.

Do not report to the allotted college yet

The current result is provisional. Candidates who have received a seat must not report to the allotted college at this stage. KEA will first review the objections received before publishing the final allotment.

Reporting to a college before the final result may lead to confusion about admission steps, fees and documents. Candidates should wait for the final instructions from KEA instead of relying on messages shared in student groups. Those groups can be useful, but they can also turn one rumour into ten versions of the truth.

What happens after the objection window?

KEA will examine the objections submitted within the deadline. After this review, it will publish the final seat allotment results for:

UGNEET 2026 Round 1

The final result will decide the next stage of the counselling process. This may include accepting the seat, paying the required fee, downloading an admission confirmation document and reporting to the college within the given dates. Candidates should follow the final KEA notice for the exact process.
