Schools and colleges in four taluks of Dakshina Kannada will remain closed on August 8 after the India Meteorological Department forecast heavy rain in coastal Karnataka. The holiday aims to protect students, teaching staff and other workers as rain continues across the region.

Which institutions will remain closed?
