JEECUP 2026 Seat Allotment Round 1: How to Check Your Result and Complete Admission

The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has released the round 1 seat allotment result for JEECUP 2026. If you completed your counselling registration and choice filling, you can now check whether you secured a seat in your preferred polytechnic college.

The result went live on July 1, 2026. Students can access their allotment status through the official counselling portal using their application number and password. This year, a total of 1,40,414 seats are available across government, aided, PPP, and private polytechnic institutions in Uttar Pradesh.

How to Check Your JEECUP Round 1 Allotment Result

Checking your seat allotment status is simple. Follow these steps:

  • Go to the official JEECUP counselling portal at jeecup.admissions.nic.in
  • Look for the Round 1 Seat Allotment Result link on the homepage
  • Enter your application number and password in the login fields
  • Click submit to view your allotment result
  • Download your allotment letter and save a copy for future reference

The allotment is based on your JEECUP rank, the choices you filled during counselling, your reservation category, and the availability of seats in different colleges.

What Happens After You Get Your Seat

Getting a seat is just the first step. You need to act fast to secure your admission. Here is what you must do next:

After receiving your allotment, you have two options: freeze or float. Think of these as two different roads you can take.

The Freeze Option

Choose freeze if you are happy with the seat you received and want to confirm your admission. This locks your seat. You accept what you got and move forward with the admission process.

The Float Option

Choose float if you want to keep your current seat but still hope for an upgrade in the next round. This keeps your seat secured while allowing the system to consider you for better options based on your preference list.

You must make this choice between July 2 and July 5, 2026. Missing this deadline can cost you your seat.

Fee Payment and Document Verification

Once you choose freeze or float, you need to pay Rs 3,250. This amount breaks down as follows:

  • Rs 3,000 goes directly toward your institutional tuition fee
  • Rs 250 is a non-refundable counselling registration fee

Payment must be completed online through your candidate login. If you skip this step, your allotted seat will be cancelled.

Document verification happens at district help centres from July 2 to July 6, 2026. You must visit the centre with your original documents and self-attested photocopies.

Documents You Need to Carry

Keep these documents ready when you go for verification:

  • JEECUP 2026 Rank Card
  • Seat Allotment Letter
  • Class 10 mark sheet and certificate
  • Class 12 or qualifying examination mark sheet (if applicable)
  • Category certificate (if you belong to SC, ST, OBC, or EWS)
  • Domicile certificate
  • Aadhaar card or any valid ID proof
  • Two passport-size photographs
  • Fee payment receipt

Make sure all your documents are in order. Any missing or incorrect document can delay your admission process.

Understanding the JEECUP Counselling Schedule

The round 1 counselling follows a tight schedule. Choice filling happened from June 25 to June 30, 2026. The seat allotment result came out on July 1. Now, students have until July 5 to choose freeze or float and pay the required fee.

Document verification at district help centres runs from July 2 to July 6. If you change your mind, you can withdraw your admitted seat on July 6, 2026.

Who Gets Priority in Seat Allotment

JEECUP follows a clear reservation policy. The system ensures fair distribution of seats across different categories.

Vertical reservations include 10% for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates, 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC) from the Non-Creamy Layer, 21% for Scheduled Castes (SC), and 2% for Scheduled Tribes (ST).

Horizontal reservations cover 5% for Persons with Disability (minimum 40% disability), 2% for children of freedom fighters, and 5% for wards of military personnel.

What If You Miss the Deadline

The authorities are strict about deadlines. If you fail to choose freeze or float, skip the fee payment, or do not get your documents verified after choosing freeze, you will be out of the counselling process until round 3.

This is not a situation you want to be in. Keep track of all dates and complete each step on time.

Quick Facts About JEECUP 2026

The JEECUP 2026 result was announced on June 19, 2026. Students can check their rank cards on the official website. The exam covers various course groups such as A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, K, and L for diploma admissions.

Each candidate receives only one seat at a time, even if they qualified for multiple groups. The counselling happens in multiple rounds, giving students several chances to secure admission in their preferred college.

Tips for a Smooth Admission Process

Start by checking your allotment result as soon as it goes live. Read your allotment letter carefully to understand which college and course you received.

Decide whether freeze or float works better for you. If you received your top choice, go with freeze. If you think you might get a better option in the next round, choose float.

Keep all your documents ready before the verification date. Visit the district help centre during working hours to avoid last-minute rush.

Pay your fees on time through the official portal. Keep the payment receipt safe as you will need it during document verification and college reporting.

After successful verification, report to your allotted institute within the deadline. Carry all original documents and fee receipts when you visit the college.

The JEECUP counselling system gives you a fair chance at securing admission to a polytechnic college in Uttar Pradesh. Stay alert, meet all deadlines, and complete each step properly. Your seat is waiting for you, but only if you act fast and follow the process correctly.
