Check JEE Main 2027 registration dates, documents, application steps, photo rules, expected fees and form correction details.

JEE Main 2027 registration is expected to begin in October 2026 for Session 1. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the application link on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Students who plan to appear for the engineering entrance exam should check the eligibility rules and keep their documents ready before the form opens.
NTA is expected to conduct JEE Main 2027 in two sessions. Session 1 will take place in January 2027, while Session 2 is expected in April 2027. Students can appear in one or both sessions. The best performance may be considered as per the rules in the official information bulletin.

Do not wait for the last day to apply. Websites can slow down, payment gateways can fail, and printers often choose the worst possible time to stop working.
Documents Required for JEE Main 2027
Keep clear copies of the following documents before you start the application:
- Aadhaar card or another valid identity document accepted by NTA
- Recent passport-size colour photograph
- Scanned signature
- Class 10 certificate or marksheet
- PwD certificate, if applicable
- Gen-EWS certificate, if claiming EWS reservation
- OBC-NCL, SC or ST certificate, if applicable

NTA may ask for a live photograph during registration. Complete this step using a laptop or computer with a working webcam if required. Check the latest notice for image rules before uploading files.
Photo and Signature Specifications
As per the available application instructions, the scanned files should follow these specifications:
| File | Size | Dimensions | Format |
|---|---|---|---|
| Photograph | 10 KB to 200 KB | 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm | JPG or JPEG |
| Signature | 10 KB to 100 KB | 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm | JPG or JPEG |
