Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released the IOCL Recruitment 2026 notification for 470 executive vacancies. The posts cover engineering, marketing, law, quality control and diploma engineering streams.
The online application process will run from 14 August 2026 to 3 September 2026, up to 5:00 PM. The IOCL Computer-Based Test (CBT) is scheduled for 24 September 2026. Candidates can apply through the official website, iocl.com.

IOCL Vacancy 2026
The vacancies are spread across the following posts:
- Grade A: Graduate Engineers, Marketing Officers and Law Officers
- Grade A0: Assistant Quality Control Officers in Chemistry
- Grade E0: Diploma Engineers in Electrical, Mechanical and Safety

Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification
- Graduate Engineer: Full-time B.E., B.Tech or equivalent degree in the required stream, with at least 65% marks. The minimum is 55% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.
- Marketing Officer: Full-time MBA or PGDBA with Marketing Management, with at least 60% marks. The minimum is 55% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.
- Law Officer: Graduation with a three-year LLB or a five-year integrated LLB from a BCI-recognised university. Two years of post-qualification experience is required.
- Assistant Quality Control Officer: Full-time M.Sc. in Chemistry with at least 60% marks. Two years of post-qualification experience is required.
- Diploma Engineer: Full-time three-year diploma in the relevant engineering discipline, with at least 65% marks. The minimum is 55% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.
Applicants must read the stream-wise qualification rules with care. A B.E. or B.Tech holder cannot apply for a Diploma Engineer post under Grade E0.
Age limit
The age limit will be counted as on 1 July 2026. The upper age limit is 26 years for Graduate Engineers and Diploma Engineers, 28 years for Marketing Officers, and 30 years for Law Officers and Assistant Quality Control Officers.
Age relaxation applies as per Government of India rules. The usual relaxation is five years for SC and ST candidates, three years for OBC candidates under the non-creamy layer, and ten years for PwBD candidates, subject to the conditions in the notification.

The application fee is ₹1,000 plus applicable GST and bank charges for General, OBC and EWS candidates. SC, ST and PwBD candidates do not need to pay the application fee.
Selection Process and Exam Pattern
IOCL will select candidates through three stages:
- Computer-Based Test
- Group Discussion and Group Task
- Personal Interview
The CBT has 100 questions for 100 marks and lasts 150 minutes. Section A tests General Aptitude, with Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal English. Section B tests domain knowledge related to the post.

Each correct answer carries one mark. The exam has a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates must qualify each CBT section and the overall CBT score.
The final score gives 85% weight to the CBT, 5% to GD and GT, and 10% to the interview. The minimum overall CBT marks are 45% for General, EWS and OBC candidates, 40% for SC and ST candidates, and 30% for PwBD candidates.
