ICAI Releases CA January 2027 Exam Dates for Foundation and Intermediate
ICAI has announced the January 2027 CA timetable, including Foundation and Intermediate dates, timings, reading time and key exam instructions.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the timetable for the CA January 2027 examinations. The schedule covers the Foundation and Intermediate courses, with all papers planned for the first half of January.
Students should check the dates at once and plan their revision around the gaps between papers. January may still feel far away, but exam days have a habit of arriving faster than expected.
CA Intermediate January 2027 exam dates
The CA Intermediate exams will be held in two groups. Group 1 papers will take place on January 2, 4 and 6, 2027. Group 2 papers will follow on January 8, 10 and 12, 2027.

Each Intermediate paper will run for three hours. Candidates will get 15 minutes of advance reading time from 1:45 PM to 2 PM. The written examination will begin at 2 PM.
The timetable includes all six papers across the two Intermediate groups. Students who plan to appear for one group should focus on the papers listed for that group. Those appearing for both groups will need a study plan that covers the full set of subjects.
CA Foundation January 2027 exam dates
The CA Foundation examinations will be held on January 3, 5, 7 and 9, 2027. The exam timing and duration will depend on the paper.

Will a public holiday change the exam date?
ICAI has stated that the timetable will remain valid even if any examination date is later declared a public holiday by the Central Government, a state government or a local authority.
This means candidates should follow the dates listed in the ICAI timetable unless the institute issues a separate official update. A holiday announcement by itself will not change the examination schedule.
How to use the time before January
Intermediate students can divide the available time into three stages: learning the syllabus, solving questions and revising key topics. Foundation students can use the gaps between papers for focused revision, but should prepare all subjects before the first exam.
Keep one simple calendar with paper dates, revision targets and mock test days. Mark the exam time as well. A study plan that ignores the clock can look neat on paper and still fail during the test.
