Students across Himachal Pradesh are waiting for their class 10th and 12th board exam results. The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBoSE) will release the results soon on its official website. While the initial deadline was set for late April, some administrative adjustments have caused a slight delay.
According to media reports, the class 12th results will be announced before the class 10th results. Board chairman Rajesh Sharma confirmed that all preparations for the result declaration are complete, and the HP Board Class 12th Result 2026 will be released online on May 4 at 11:00 AM.

What are the Passing Marks
To pass the examination, students must score at least 33% marks in each subject (separately in theory and practical portions) and 33% overall. This criterion applies to both class 10th and 12th students.
What Your Marksheet Will Show
The HP Board marksheet includes important details such as:
- Student name and roll number
- Subject wise marks (theory, practical, and internal assessment shown separately)
- Total marks and overall percentage
- Grade and result status (pass/compartment/fail)
- Stream and school details
Second Chance for Students
Students who fail in one or two subjects get another opportunity through compartment exams. The HPBoSE 12th compartment exam 2026 is expected to be held between July 22 and 25 in pen and paper format. The compartment exam results will be published on hpbose.org in August 2026.
Revaluation Process
After the results are declared, the board will start the revaluation and rechecking process. Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply online for revaluation of their answer sheets by paying the required fee per subject.
When to Expect Results
Based on previous year trends, HPBoSE typically announces results in late April or the first week of May. Last year, the class 12th result was released on April 29, and the class 10th result came out on May 7. This year, students can expect similar timing.
About the Exams
The HP Board class 12th board exams were conducted from March 4 to 28, 2026, while the class 10th exams took place from March 4 to 22. The evaluation process is now nearly complete.
Getting Your Original Marksheet
While students can download a provisional marksheet online, the original certificates will be distributed through their respective schools a few days after the online result announcement. Keep your printout safe as you will need it for college admissions and other processes.
The board will announce results for all streams (Arts, Science, and Commerce) simultaneously, though separate announcements will be made for each class. Students should keep their roll numbers handy and check the official website regularly for updates.
