How to Check Gujarat Board 12th Result 2026: Complete Guide

The wait is over for lakhs of students across Gujarat. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has declared the HSC Class 12 results for 2026. Students can now access their scorecards through multiple platforms.

Nearly 15.27 lakh students appeared for the Gujarat Board Class 10 and Class 12 examinations this year across 1,701 exam centres throughout the state. The exams were conducted from February 26 to March 18, 2026, in offline mode.

Where Can You Check Your Results?

The board has made checking results simple and accessible. You can view your scorecard through the official website gseb.org. But that's not all. The board has also introduced WhatsApp and SMS facilities to make things easier for students.

Keep your admit card ready before you start. You will need the six-digit seat number mentioned on it to access your results.

Checking Results Online

The online method is straightforward. Here's what you need to do:

  • Visit the official website gseb.org
  • Click on the Gujarat HSC Result 2026 link
  • Enter your seat number carefully
  • Click the submit button
  • Your result will appear on the screen
  • Download and save the scorecard
  • Take a printout for future use

Make sure you enter your seat number correctly. One wrong digit and you might end up viewing someone else's result (or no result at all).

Getting Results on WhatsApp

This year, the board introduced a WhatsApp facility. Simply send your seat number to 6357300971. Your result will be delivered directly to your WhatsApp. Quick, simple, and you can check it while having your morning tea.

Checking via SMS

If you prefer the old-school SMS method, that works too. Open your SMS app and type the following:

  • For Science stream: Type "GJ12S [Your Seat Number]"
  • For General stream: Type "GJ12G [Your Seat Number]"
  • Send it to 58888111
  • Your result will be sent to the same number

Understanding Your Marksheet

Once you download your marksheet, verify all the details. Your marksheet will include:

  • Your name
  • Roll number or seat number
  • Subject-wise marks secured
  • Total marks secured
  • Grades
  • Qualifying status

Check each detail carefully. If you spot any errors, contact the board immediately.

What Are the Passing Marks?

To pass the exam, you must secure at least 33 per cent marks in each subject. You also need 33 per cent aggregate overall. Additionally, you must obtain a minimum 'D' grade in all subjects.

If you don't meet these requirements, don't panic. The board will conduct supplementary exams later.

This Year's Pass Percentage

The overall pass percentage for Science stream this year was 84.33 per cent. The General stream performed better with a pass rate of 92.71 per cent.

Girls outperformed boys once again. They achieved a pass rate of 84.65 per cent, while boys had 84.04 per cent. This continues the trend from last year when girls scored 94.36 per cent compared to boys' 89.45 per cent.

What If You Don't Pass?

Not everyone clears on the first attempt, and that's okay. Students who fail to clear Gujarat HSC 2026 can appear for supplementary examinations. These exams provide you with a chance to improve your scores and move forward.

If you're not satisfied with your marks, you can also apply for rechecking after the result declaration. The board will announce the procedure and dates soon.

Important Points to Remember

Use only official platforms to check your results. Fake websites often pop up during result season. Stick to gseb.org or the official WhatsApp and SMS numbers provided by the board.

Download your marksheet as soon as possible. Take multiple printouts and keep them safe. You'll need these for college admissions and other purposes.

The results are available for all streams including Science, General (Arts and Commerce), and vocational streams. Around 5.01 lakh students appeared for general streams and more than 1 lakh students for the Science stream.

Looking at Last Year's Performance

Last year, Goswami Hensi Vasudev topped the state with 630 marks out of 650 in GSEB HSC examinations. The overall pass percentage in 2025 was 91.93 per cent.

The General stream showed the highest pass rate at 93.07 per cent, Commerce had 90.78 per cent, and Science stream had 83.51 per cent.

Next Steps After Results

Once you have your results, start planning your next move. If you've passed, congratulations! Begin researching colleges and courses that interest you. If you need to appear for supplementary exams, create a study plan and focus on the subjects where you need improvement.

Keep checking the official website for updates on supplementary exams, rechecking procedures, and college admission schedules. Your Class 12 results are important, but they're just one step in your journey. Stay focused and keep moving forward.
