AC Team

The registration window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 September session closes today, September 1, 2026. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reopened the application facility for candidates who could not complete their forms during the first window.
Eligible candidates can apply through the official CTET website, ctet.nic.in. The CBSE has not announced the examination date yet. Candidates should check the official website for the date, timing and other exam updates.
Why the CTET 2026 application window was reopened
The earlier application window closed on June 10, 2026. After receiving requests from candidates, the CBSE reopened registration for a short period. This gives applicants one more chance to submit their forms before the facility closes.
Since the deadline is today, candidates should avoid waiting until the last hour. Website traffic can rise near the closing time, and payment or document upload issues may delay the process. The application form may not save itself just because it is open in another browser tab. Forms need a proper submission.
CTET 2026 application fee
The fee depends on the candidate’s category and the number of papers selected. Candidates from the General and OBC-NCL categories have to pay:
- Rs 1,000 for one paper
- Rs 1,200 for both papers
Candidates from the SC, ST and PwD categories have to pay:
- Rs 500 for one paper
- Rs 600 for both papers
Applicants should check the category details in the form before making the payment. A small error in this section can create problems later.
How to apply for CTET 2026
- Visit the official website at ctet.nic.in.
- Open the CTET 2026 application link on the home page.
- Select the new registration option.
- Read the instructions and acknowledgement carefully.
- Enter your personal, academic and contact details.
- Upload the required documents in the given format.
- Select the paper or papers you want to take.

CTET 2026 exam pattern
The CTET 2026 question paper will contain 150 multiple-choice questions. The paper will carry 150 marks in total. Each correct answer will carry one mark.
There will be no negative marking in the examination. This means candidates will not lose marks for an incorrect answer. Still, a clear plan is useful because 150 questions require steady time management.
CTET includes papers for candidates who aim to teach Classes 1 to 8 in government schools. Candidates should select the paper that matches the classes they want to teach and read the official information bulletin for subject details.
What candidates should do before the deadline
- Keep a working mobile number and email address ready.
- Keep scanned documents, photograph and signature available.
- Confirm the category and paper selection.
- Use a stable internet connection for payment.
- Save the payment receipt and confirmation page.
- Check the official website after submitting the form.
The CTET 2026 September exam date is still pending. Until CBSE releases the schedule, candidates should rely on updates published on ctet.nic.in rather than messages shared on social media or unofficial websites.
