What Are the Qualifying Marks for CSEET 2026?

To pass the CSEET exam, you need to meet specific criteria. You must score at least 40% in each individual paper and 50% in aggregate across all papers.

The exam covers four papers:

  • Business Environment and Law
  • Business Economics
  • Business Management, Ethics and Entrepreneurship
  • Fundamentals of Accounting and Auditing

Each paper carries 100 marks. There is no negative marking in the CSEET exam, so every attempt counts without penalty.

Details You Will Find on Your CSEET Scorecard

Your CSEET scorecard will include several important details:

  • Your name and admission number
  • Roll number
  • Result declaration date
  • Subject wise scores for all four papers
  • Your overall aggregate score
  • Pass or fail status
  • Validity period of the result
  • Important instructions for next steps

Check all these details carefully when you download your scorecard.

CSEET Pass Percentage Trends

The pass percentage gives you an idea of how many candidates qualified in each session. In January 2026, the pass percentage was 80.05%, which was quite good compared to previous sessions.

ICSI will announce the June 2026 pass percentage along with the result. This helps you understand where you stand among all the candidates who appeared for the exam.

What If You Don't Pass the CSEET Exam?

Don't worry if you don't clear the exam in your first attempt. ICSI conducts the CSEET exam three times a year, in February, June, and October. You can register and appear for the next session.

Your CSEET registration remains valid for three years from the month of registration. This gives you multiple chances to clear the exam without having to register again.

What Changes Did ICSI Make to CSEET in 2026?

ICSI introduced several important changes to the CSEET exam from June 2026 onwards:

  • The exam is now held in offline mode instead of online
  • Exam timing is from 2:30 PM to 5:45 PM
  • The exam window extends over four days
  • Each subject now carries 100 marks
  • CSEET is now conducted three times a year (February, June, October) instead of four
  • Registration fee is INR 7,500 and enrollment fee is INR 1,500
  • Re-evaluation facility is now available from June 2026 onwards

What to Do After Passing CSEET?

Once you pass the CSEET exam, you become eligible to register for the CS Executive programme. This is the next step in your journey to becoming a Company Secretary.

The CSEET result remains valid for 12 months from the date of declaration. You should plan to complete your CS Executive registration within this validity period.

Who Is Exempt from Taking CSEET?

Not everyone needs to take the CSEET exam. You are exempt if you fall into any of these categories:

  • ICAI Final passed candidates
  • ICMAI Final passed candidates
  • Graduates with minimum 50% marks
  • Post Graduate degree holders

These candidates can directly register for the CS Executive programme without appearing for CSEET.

Important Points to Remember

Keep your registration number and date of birth handy when checking results. You will need these details to log in to the result portal.

Download your scorecard as soon as the result is declared. Save multiple copies in different locations for safety.

If you face any issues while downloading your result, contact the ICSI helpdesk at 0120-6204999 or 3314111.

ICSI does not release any rank list or topper list for CSEET. The scorecard only shows your scores and qualifying status.

CSEET October 2026 Registration

If you plan to appear for the October 2026 session, mark these dates:

  • Registration begins: July 01, 2026
  • Exam dates: October 01 to October 06, 2026

Stay updated with the official ICSI website for detailed announcements about registration deadlines and exam schedules.
