AC Team

If you are aiming for a seat in one of India's National Law Universities, the CLAT 2027 notification is the document you cannot afford to skip. The Consortium of NLUs is set to release both the UG and PG notifications at consortiumofnlus.ac.in, and this piece breaks down everything you need to track, from exam dates to fees, without making you dig through a hundred tabs.
Who Runs CLAT and Why It Matters
The Consortium of National Law Universities conducts CLAT every year for admission to 26 NLUs and more than 60 other law schools across India. If law school is on your list (apart from NLU Delhi, which has its own process), CLAT is the gate you walk through. No shortcuts here, sorry.
When Will the Notification Drop?
Last year, the notification came out on July 20, and registration opened on August 1. Going by that pattern, this year's CLAT UG and CLAT PG notifications are expected around the same window. Keep the official website bookmarked, because refreshing it every five minutes is a rite of passage for every law aspirant.
CLAT 2027 Exam Date
The tentative date for the CLAT 2027 exam is December 6, 2026. The test will run in offline mode, pen and paper style, across centres nationwide between 2 PM and 4 PM. Mark it on your calendar now so you are not caught off guard later.

For CLAT PG, expect questions from Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Torts, Property Law and more.
